Are they drilling tanks to get at the gas? I didn't think that gas was so expensive.

If you're planning on utilizing a warranty you best just keep it 100% stock until the warranty is up. Warranties are basically the same as insurance. There's a shit ton of fine print and they're really good at weaseling out of covering anything.

Not sure if myself and my friends have been lucky or what but we have had 0 issue with warrenty and tsb work. They do look at me a little weird when I tell them not to fuck with anything in the computer or reprogram anything, because the way its configured is the only way my portals will work.

Dodge-two years and sent the Cp4 packing
GM- five years and sent the cp4 packing

Ford- 13 years with the Cp4 and counting with no end in sight.


i bet its one of those things where the Cp4 looks so awesome on paper.... higher pressure, more efficient, less heat/friction loss and in practice is a complete turd.

or Ford hates its customers and wants them to die. just guessing :flipoff2::flipoff2:

All of fords big fuck ups in this century have been a result of that sort of europoor textbook engineering culture being allowed to reign in situations where an adult in the room should be saying it ain't worth it.

quick story time..... driving with a contractor to go look at a job up near the panhandle in Texas, cruising along at 80 heading towards Wichita Falls, his 6 month old 6.4 SD goes completely silent. and completely dead. "Oh WTF!! not this shit again. fuck this truck and fuck Ford". He had one of his workers that was about 10 miles behind us come pick us up. He threw the keys in the bed of the truck and said "I dont even care anymore, this is the second brand new truck thats done this in the last 8 months. Im calling Ford and telling them exactly where they can pick the truck up. im done."

i really have no clue what it was.... would not restart and he said the first truck he had that did it needed a new motor and he wouldnt take a new truck with a rebuilt motor, so they gave him a new one off the lot.
 
Not a Ford guy, but some of these Broncos I see on the road look good and are growing on me. I passed the ugliest one that I have seen yet the other day. Huge molded fender flares sticking out a mile. Thought that they had to have been added by the owner. Turns out it looks like it was a Bronco Raptor!:barf:

Agreed, the Bronco Raptor fenders are hideous, I'd hate to have paid that much to get such a cheap/ugly fender. This is loosely what they should have done:

On the CP4 issue. I went to school with kid who’s dad is the owner of a Ford dealership and I was actually in there today talking to him about this. and every Ford dealer will die on the hill that the reason the CP4 went bad is because you got bad fuel with water in it and they won’t, even remotely change their mind on that answer. I kind of pressed him on it and he said “you know from the Midwest to Denver you’re never gonna have a problem with fuel. It’s probably the ones in the southwest or they ain’t worried about freezing and a little more water and everything or something.” I mean, they will not budge on the fact it’s not their fault.

They're probably not technically wrong that water is causing it but it's still a case of europoor textbook engineering culture. Trace amounts of water should not grenade the pump on an engine in a $70k truck no matter how you cut it.

Heck, a full jug of DEF in the fuel tank shouldn't.

I told him It’s fucking bullshit. We’re at the mercy of gas stations. We can’t prove who caused it and we have no other options.

you should have told him there's millions of diesels eating shitty fuel with water, trash, waste oil and contaminants each and every single day across the US and the only truck that cant handle it is the Ford with the CP4? Hell, im pretty sure the old 7.3 could run on fry oil, urine, and crispys from the bottom of a long john silvers basket..
 
Got word today from the dealership that my frame is indeed cracked and possibly bent.
They are recommending a frame replacement, but have to.get the OK from Ford first.
Said someone is coming to look at it within a week to make a decision.
The "lift" was brought up, I pointed out it says "Lift me baby" on the fender liner.

In 2012 my mine got a new 6.7 service truck that shit the engine within 20k, ford blamed the fuel. Management accepted that, even though I pointed out we'd been running the same fuel from the same tanks in our equipment under the same injection pressures and tolerances and had no issues

They kept buying ford's. I imagine somebody was getting exotic hunting trips or something
