What's new

New Bronco reports

They replaced my axle under warranty when I broke mine.

As far as 37''s go the steering rack needs to be upgraded with at least the aftermarket bushing. All of us have the bushing and housing even on the Hoss 3.0 rack.
popo_patty has taken apart a few racks to show what the internals look like and how they work on his YouTube channel.

It's a good idea to upgrade tie rods as well. Stock ones are pretty weak, though some people use them as a fusable link to save the steering housing.

And if you have a soft top get this:
Mabett Window Visor Rain Guard for Ford Bronco 2021 2022 2023 2024 Accessories 4-Door Protect from Raindrops Sound Noise Sun Rays (4PCS) Amazon.com
I’m doing the rack upgrade shortly. It won’t be taken off-road before then. I’ve got the hardtop

What made you get those Baja Boss tires?
I like the look of them, but most people reviewing them are sponsored with freebies.

Only contact is the plastic off the front bumper if the suspensions articulated just right at just the right amount of steering so I’ll probably take a cutter to it and clearance about a quarter inch of plastic. No contact with the rock sliders rides pretty good on surface streets getting ready to take it on the interstate to the alignment shop now.

I wanted something more aggressive than an all-terrain, but not straight block tread like the Nittos and Toyos. This is kind of the middle ground.

Tires are pretty quiet for what they are going down the highway so I’m happy with the noise level

Be religious with the rotations, they can get a little noisy if left in the same spot 10k+ miles
I think that goes with any semi aggressive tire.
Took the fucked up pothole lane on the interstate that I always avoid and these shocks made of massive difference. Body roll is nice front end dive on hard braking is good I’m happy.

I keep holding out for Bilstein to release the 8112's for the Bronco, but am getting increasingly impatient as it sure doesn't seem to be a priority for them. Looks sharp, makes me want to abandon the bilsteins and juat go with something else.

I love my Baja Boss MT'S. So much I'm looking at getting the 40" stickies for the buggy.
Had them in all kinds of terrain from Nor Cal rocks, Moab stick rock, mud, deep snow and doing 60 down the highway at 8 psi.
What 45 said about rotation is true. In the beginning I had to rotate them about every 3k miles or I would get some good shaking/death wobble. 25k in and their still kicking ass.

Broncos looking good :smokin:

X2 - good thing there wasn't a spare on the back, I think it would've gone over.
It wasn’t as bad as it looked.

That was my 3rd time hitting the ledge.

1st time tried a slow crawl, couldn’t make forward progress.

2nd time: little bump… the second ledge caused the front to bounce which made me put it in reverse and get down before it went over.

Spotter: you had it dude, hit it a little harder and you are good.

3rd time: hit it a little harder. Got a cool video, made it up. Granted it was still scary.

anybody have anything to say about road noise/phone calls? Most of my work is done while driving... the 13 year old me really dogged these for a while. Over 40 me wants to have fun with my kids in one.

I have a hard top with "sound deadening insulation" basically thin carpet glued to it. About as much road noise as my 2002 f250. Not a ton, but not modern chevy tahoe quite either. I think with a little bit of work it could be made a lot better.

The on board mic works great. Wife usually calls me on her way in to work and the sound quality is always good. My only complaint is the blinker is really loud and it comes through just as loud through the mic. Road noise is not terrible, seats are meh. She has a Wildtrak with leather and my 2013 F150 seats are more comfortable for longer drives.

I ordered a heritage edition, which is supposed to be delivered any day. Supposedly the heritage tops have more sound deadening in them than the standard hard tops. I’ll hopefully have more feedback next week.

I appreciate all this

So overall you guys would daily these? I put about 25-30k a year so burn through vehicles. I'm debating having a fun, cheaper, older ride for nights and weekends and a sensible new daily or grab one of these.

For sure but only if your honest intention is to actually wheel it enough to make the justification. They drive really nice and a lot nicer then a jeep.... but nowhere near tahoe escalade nice and you could pick up one of those for similar money if its just going to be a grocery getter.

Another thing to keep in mind is they seem to get below average gas Milage for a vehicle this size and have a small tank.
