What's new

New Bronco reports

No "plan" pricing on the Bronco.

Didn't answer my question, but part of my original point on why I pretty much gave up on a 6G Bronc, was you were not getting significant savings off MSRP.

Invoice is a line item on a piece of paper that means nothing.

Yes and No. It was at least some "published" number you could negotiate from, that was significantly lower than MSRP. I currently own 10 Fords, but this might be the last new one, if Fords strategy is going to be either nothing to negotiate down off sticker too, or in the case of EV's, no negotiation at all.

Another twisted axle tube on 6G forum. Lifted, 37's. Driver claims he doesn't use TTA. Another poster is speculating that lift geometry is possibly causing binding and the rosette welds on the left side are the weak point. Seems very plausible.

This makes me want to weld my axle tubes before I put on portals.....

are there repair parts available for a pillar/ bar.

He was in 2wd when this happened. He had brown the front diff earlier that week.

I was standing just behind the camera guy. My stock 2 door had just made it up, along with another 4 door on

How's he planning on fixing the windshield frame / cross bar? That brings a lot of suck. That's one place a wrangler has an advantage.

For sure. I think JR4X said its all integraded into the structure
Not only that, it’s the weirdest alloy I’ve ever laid hands on. I could give you all day and an endless supply of drill bits. You’ll burn up bits till your sick of it and not get a hole drilled in it. You’ll burn up sawzall blades and never get a cut in it. It’s harder than any toothed consumable we can find. The only way to cut it is with abrasives or torch/plasma.

I am not sure the details. I know he has a local body shop on speed dial.

'Seatbelt buckle access test block' should be a clear sign nhtsa needs a massive budget cut.

...does not have enough space between the seat
back and the interior trim to allow the test block unhindered access to the latch plate.

A friend spotted this today. Damn thats gay.....

Dirtyjed
Camping at loon lake tomorrow evening/night and hitting the con at 9ish Friday morning with the bronco if you want to tag along for any or part. Heading to the springs and then hopefully out through tahoma sunday if we can make it, otherwise back to loon.

Might show up Friday morning and wheel part way with you guys. Gotta work Sunday, otherwise I would tag along all the way.
I texted my buddy who lives up there to see if Tahoma is clear.

Packing ours up now, leaving for Moab early Saturday morning. Fitting everything in a 2 door with the fridge is proving challenging, especially since we are taking our daughter.

the 2 doors have impressively little extra room. Can you fold down half the seat?

We can, but I'm trying to avoid it. Stuff will ride there regardless, but I can use the Molle panels on the seat backs and the footwell for a lot of stuff if I leave the seat up.

I think Jeep used the same alloy. I added a piece of weather stripping that came a year later than mine and it required (5) 3/16 holes on each side. By the second hole I wish I never started. I went through a pile of bits. This was on the bar the windshield lays against.
