New Bronco reports

You really think a dealer was only getting $200 to sell any new bronco? Maybe Ford finally got "smart" and will make all the invoices real close to MSRP to get more from X-planners? (and people like me who start @ invoice, or at least used too). Don't care if they are building what I wanted or not, may never get one at this point.

Invoice is a line item on a piece of paper that means nothing.

No "plan" pricing on the Bronco.

So it's an arbitrary random number?

It's a real number, but there is holdback, financing incentives, manufacturer rebates, trade-ins, add-ons, etc. The days of cash talks, bullshit walks are long gone. As far as new car sales go, there's no profit in cash unless is it's straight up price gouging ADM.

I have no idea if it engages the front locker, but that would be counter productive. It definitely will disengage the rear locker, otherwise the cutting brake wouldn't do anything.
From experience, rear cutting brakes work better with the front locker engaged.

I saw one from someone whom I did not think understood what was happening, have you seen more than one?
I saw a couple reports the 6G forum, and someone mentioned they stopped using TTA at Bronco Off-Rodeo(unconfirmed). One I recall was heavily modified suspension and I think 37's. Tire size, and using in the right conditions would be major factors in failures.

Are you talking about in conjunction with a front dig, or in four wheel drive? Broncos do not have the ability to perform a front dig from the factory.

How about ordering straight from the factory?

Last time I ordered I paid a $500 ordering fee and paid invoice; which was $8,500 less than MSRP.
And I paid cash.

To my knowledge there is no way to order direct from Ford. Next best thing was to use X-plan, but ford shut that down real quick.

Wow; said last order was in Jan. '99 at Poway Ford commercial truck department.
It was the 3rd Ford dealership I went to due to the others wanting $1,000+ ordering fee.

Me: I want to order a truck and I'll pay $350 to do so.
Poway Ford: We charge $500.
Me: Deal! Let's begin the order.

I put $2,500 down and waited 3 months.
Paid $25,000 for the remaining balance.

F-350XL 4X4/Power Stroke/CC/shortbed/6sp manual/AC/manual locking hubs/hand-crank windows
The PS was a $4,000 option then.

I bought a truck from the same dealer in 99. We might have been there at the same time:flipoff2:

I may or may not have just put a deposit down for some portals for mine....

Seems like an awful lot of money to spend on a 4" lift for a mall crawler.

I can't wait to see the videos of you guys beating the crap out of your portaled Bronco's in the rocks...... :lmao:

I took my stock 2 door through Pritchett Canyon in Moab few weeks ago.
It was a blast!

Bronco Raptors are not invincible.

This.

I throw caution to the wind and regularly make JK/JL look like absolute fools. Broncos barely hit trails, they're street queens.

$50k bronco with $20k on portals... gimme a fuckin break. $10k on any rig will out wheel one, and have left over for a tow rig, trailer, and Brazil steakhouse dinner for 30

:broncoowners:

But they drive so much nicer than a Wrangler on the street.

Don't see many of em around here, but we have a major highway going through town (US 19) so we get some passing through. We passed a green 2 door today, was lifted and on 35" tires. I'm assuming it had the Sasquatch package.

It wasn't a bad looking vehicle, but knowing that they are worse offroad than a Wrangler while having no real benefit on-road makes it a hard pass for me.

Maybe they make more sense if you live in an area where you have the room to just haul ass off-road and the IFS is good for that.

I should also note that it seemed to really struggle going up hills as we passed it. He was going well below the speed limit.

He was in 2wd when this happened. He had brown the front diff earlier that week.

I was standing just behind the camera guy. My stock 2 door had just made it up, along with another 4 door on 37's.

He was probably just not paying attention, or was just driving slow.

My 2.7 twin turbo hauls ass. The 2.3 I4 is not that much slower. I have ranted a few wranglers recently and while they are not absolute dogs, they are not as quick as the bronco is.

I have not wheeled a wrangler off road, so I am going to not comment on that.

I was thinking the same thing, even the base engine has 275 horses and it goes up from there.
