The 5 3/8" metal.cut saw is hot garbage. Used it on 1/8" steel today and it released the smoke.
Have had it for years and rarely used it. Came in a kit and always thought it was a regular circuit saw till I read the label :homer:

Looked up a new one... like $250.
I paid $350 for it, a sawzall, drill, impact, flashlight, 3 batteries and a charger.

I have been shopping for a deal on the inflator, but I don't need any more batteries. Do I just order it on line and then take the batteries back to my local Home Depot and say "they didn't fit my needs" or something like that and then they credit back the $187.03 to my card?

Yes. That is exactly what some people are doing.

Sounds like you smoked a wood saw on metal:lmao: :lmao::lmao: my actual metal saw cuts 3/8-1/2 steel all day long
Noticed the trend with that one, eh? Like yours, I've cut a lot of steel with mine and it is just fine.

You bought the non fuel kit?

You are literally the only person out of the dozens I know who have any issues with milwuakee tools :lmao: :homer:

When I click the link it shows $299 for the starter kit batteries + free tool. Maybe the price went up or its location-dependent? For $231 I would pull the trigger and get the inflator.

It’s a “buy this get this free” but instead of being a single item it just discounts both items so you are paying 299 but getting both things. Each item is its own sku so you can mix and match to get what you want.

If you just want the inflator and not the batteries you can either order them both and get them shipped to you then return the batteries or order one shipped and one for pick up then cancel the item you don’t want.

OK, I get it now. Once I added to cart I see the same prices as above. Thx!

your a ruh-tard.
so i'm sure your somehow confused on operation, proper use, knowledge in general if your talking about the right thing. or whatever.

the little metal cut saw is awesome. I use the hell out of one mostly on 1/4" plate. I hate buying the blades, I've gone thru probably 30-40 of them now.

I don't think Fuel existed when I bought that kit.

I think my circ saw us also dying. Used it today to cut some pallets and it's acting gutless, like the metal saw did before the smoke leaked out.

Interesting. What batteries does your kit use? M18?

go thru this thread and look at his comments, is anything he's going to say be helpful??

we know he likes using small batteries and complaining about the tool. his understanding of the battery issue is about as good as his understanding of the brushed vs brushless issue. we also know that many things that work great for almost everyone aknate has complaints about with little reasoning.

iirc the 1/2" impact he has sucks, it shoudln't matter he uses a 1.5 battery. that's the way he thinks.

this dude is probably 35-40yo and still hasn't figured out that shipping to AK is gonna cost more$ :homer: and is always floating ideas for work that will cost him more than he'll make.

my guess he's using a small battery on a high draw brushed tool that has been sitting in his damp storage shed for 5yrs. motor, brushes etc have surface rust from years of bad storage and non use. rather than understanding how this high draw brushed tool isn't going to react well to instantly being overloaded he smokes it and calls it a piece of shit.
but the reality is that surface rust never got a chance to wear off before his mitts slapped a shitty battery into it and forced it thru material resulting in destroying a good tool due to operator error.

:homer:but the battery fit and its supposed to cut that:homer:, that saw is hot garbage:homer:

nice enough guy and all:beer:

You sure used a lot of words to say not to loan that guy any of your tools you like.

It came with #5s, but I also have #1.5s, #6 and #8s. Usually use the #5 and #6s. The #8s are kind of heavy for hand tools.

Thought it was a battery issue, but does the same on the brand new #8s. And the #6s are only 2 ir 3 years old. Some of the #5s are 10-11 years old.

post a picture.

To give you the benefit of the doubt, the 6.0's have the same reputation as the Ford 6.0 - they suck.

What's the model number of your tool that just burned up?

The 8ah batteries are 2 grams lighter then the 6ah batteries. .

You may want to rethink your battery situation.:homer:

No offense by why do you have a 250 dollar rapid charger when you have like ten batteries?

That's the best charger. It will actually charge 3 batteries at once.

The old 6 bay charger will only charge 2 batteries at a time and it isn't rapid charge.

The new packout charger will hold 6, but only charge 2 at a time.

Idk I’ve heard some bad stories about the rapids killing batteries. I have a few of them and try not to use them unless it’s going to slow us down. A 12.0 will last a day in the miter and table saws and a 6.0 or 8.0 usually lasts the day in anything else. Demo day can be a bit much but usually we manage.

I have 5 chargers on each packout stack, 4 standard and one rapid.

Dunno, some of my #5s are from 2013 and still work ok.
