What's new

Must have M-18 tools

That's crazy. That saw has been released for almost 15 years. I didn't realize the M18 lineup was that old.

It's a brushed motor, likely one of the first generations of them. You've probably worn it out.

I'm still confused on how you're killing them

I've only used it a handful of times. Was on the factory blade till the day I killed it. Was missing a couple carbines and blades were pretty cheap.
Didn't feel like dragging out my big plug in Milwaukee saw.
I got it in 2013.
Not sure either, never had trouble till now.
The drill was from same kit, but that had tons of use and would get hot as shit when drilling something. Like uncomfortable on my hands with gloves hot.

I have been shopping for a deal on the inflator, but I don't need any more batteries. Do I just order it on line and then take the batteries back to my local Home Depot and say "they didn't fit my needs" or something like that and then they credit back the $187.03 to my card?
That is what you use to do, or you use to cancel 1/2 the order.
The receipts now says on them "Must return all items on the receipt for a refund".

M18 came out in 2008

It says that whenever you get a discounted volume price or “buy x @ $f and get b @ $h price” lumber, paint, doors, plumbing etc.

Just means if your return either item you only get the discounted price back not the standard undiscounted price.

Neighbor took out my hammer drill when we were mixing concrete for fence posts, just a couple weeks ago.

Smoked something serious haha
20 years old or so, a HF 1/2" corded so no tears lost. Provided a good service and saw some abuse.

I didnt bitch to much, that thing had paid for itself a while back:laughing:

Been wanting the M18 grease gun for a while so I bought the latest deal today. I'm on the fence about returning the 2 6.0 battery kit to make it cheaper but I always seem to be a battery or two short so I will probably keep them. Browsing around the HD site tonight I find a "special buy" on the grease gun including the 2 XC6.0 and charger bundled together for $52 LESS after taxes :shaking:. Looks like I'll be returning my entire order when it comes in and just order the pre-bundled kit instead.

I ordered the inflator with two 6.0 redlithium batteries for 299 before tax. I could use a few more batteries, so unless $95 for a 6.0 is a bad deal, I will probably keep them.

Does it have brushes you can replace?
It is brushed, not sure how easy it is to replace.

Course it died while I was hold a piece if 3/4" ply against a van trailer door in just the right spot, balancing off a ladder, screw in bit, go to fire it in and nothing.
:mad3:

Time for some new tools AK.
See who from here is closest to AK, and have them buy/ship tools your way if you can save some $ going this route.
Homes Depot has a small selection. I checked today while gettingsome bolts, no metal cut saws and no M18 fuel impacts. AIH has some stuff too, don't make it over there often though.

The Milwaukee sales Homes Depot has generally don't apply to AK, and they won't ship.
Like none of the stuff listed was 9n sale at the store. The lady said they can choose to or not to follow corporate sales and pricing.
So if I ship elsewhere, and ship here it's hardly a deal.

Oh, and I swear I have like a dozen of those kits with impact bits, extensions, etc, but who the hell knows where they went.
Had to take the short little "free" one out of a box of screws I found.

Looking to buy my old man the M-18 grease gun for father's day. Far cheaper on amazon, but any of you guys use it? Worth getting? He already has an assortment of batteries and such, hence just getting the bare tool.

Absolutely, well worth it for me. I use mine all the time.

Brushes can be had for as little as $6 on Amazon. YouTube video I saw shows drill brush replacement, driver should be similar. If you can strip 2 wires, solder and have a torx screwdriver it should be do-able.

looks as legit as the fraudelent ones I bought off eBay. they came in a blister pack any everything.

after looking the fake and real ones over really really good the only difference I could tell was the sticker on the bottom just very slightly had a light color red on it. the rest of it is identical. I would have argued it was real to anyone if I hadn't just got it sent back from Milwaukee warranty with a letter stating it was a fake.

LInk?

Still cheaper than the "free tool" deal if you keep both. My $52 cheaper price included a 10% discount my account gives me which didn't apply to the free tool deal either.

I have bought M18 batteries from amazon before and they were genuine in real Milwaukee packaging. I always make sure they are listed on their page, which isnt fool proof, but I have had good luck so far.

Yup, I bought some off a site on the interweb. They did pretty good at fooling you from a distance. They were absolute garbage. Never making that mistake again.:mad3:

Killed an impact today. Motor won't go unless i hit it.
