Matt's Off Road Recovery.

Don't those industrial axles have insane gear ratios? And given that this is an off-road vehicle that is not going to go over 40MPH, wouldn't a NP205 be sufficient for most uses?
Renter had a Durango built with i think airplane tug axles. In 5th gear it could do something like 35mph with ~65" ag tires.

Probably needs a magnum scs
Like this? I don't see any mention of the torque/horsepower I assume it's decent if it's the same size parts as the mud box's.

Yes, those seem to be the step up from Atlas/Hero/205. No reduction so you put the magnum reduction box in front of it.

Aren't the same axles in Midnight Panic? he's using 1550 joints at the drop box, assuming proven parts.
NP205 is reported to have max input torque of 1500 lb ft. With a doubler in front of that and torque multiplication of first gear and the torque converter that would be pretty easy to exceed given the traction provided by those tires.

I think 1500ft*lb for the 205 is pretty conservative

This is how some of the newer cases stack up.

"World's largest off road wrecker"....

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What? It's not like it's super easy to disprove . . . oh, wait:

Not sure on the locker status but that has to be address IMO.
Lightbars and shiny wraps get more Instaglam likes & yootoob clicks. Priorities, man! :flipoff2:

Not sure if the 1500 is continuous or max but if it's max 7890 (271) is a long way from 1500 or double that 3000.
If its a ORD 205 it likely has the best in/out shafts available already.

I am not sure I did this right... But if I did I think I see the problem now LOL.
55.0-1 crawl ratio?? It will go 70 mph in double low at 3700 RPM...
4L80>203>205>5.65 ratio 4ks with 54" tires =

If he could get closer to to the 13.xx ratio axles all problems solved.

I am scared looking at this now that bigger transfer case will help. The driveshaft speed is just not high enough.
This is with 13.0 axle ratio and the 2 speed doubler.

Still runs 65 in HIGH at 3,943 RPM.

Cement trucks are usually just a regular old semi tractor. Belly dump trailers are common.

And I've never seen a 4wd concrete truck.
They use them all the time in New York City. When they are putting up a new skyscraper the ramp from the lower level of the foundation to street level is crazy steep.

If he doesn't get the correct ratios in the axles he might want to get some of these to make trail repairs easier.
