This is the state taking over another political party to sow animosity between social groups as usual.

Same thing they did with the gays when the social narrative shifted from gay rights to lumping everything under the sun in with gay rights. There are plenty of normal gay people out there just as pissed about it as you who don't want anything to do with the rainbow people nonsense.

You're falling for it here. Don't look for another government solution to a problem the government manufactured. That's exactly why they created the problem.

Yup. The meme 486 posted earlier is in action im sure as the R and D candidate sucks, and Argentina is kind of turning itself around a bit. I would also add this could be the beltway Libertarians trying to tank the party after it got hi jacked from them, people need to remember it's typically a bunch of autists attracted to libertarianism, and they will nuke shit and go scorched earth in revenge without even blinking an eye lol. They (beltway Libertarians/reason/Gary types) are also a group that historically has not wanted to make waves as it would disrupt their think tanks as both main parties would just ass fuck them to death.

Basically the non-MC candidates colluded and threw all their weight behind one (fucking terrible) candidate. Trying to out-woke the Dems... just brilliant. The LP might lose future ballot access over the lack of votes they're gonna get.

I never did answer this, however the caveat is I have zero desire to rule over others and believe in the freedom of association and people make their own choices, so if I could wave the wand it would be:
The USA needs to balkanize, it's way too big and divided to be ruled centrally. We have way too many laws and trying to jam square pegs into round holes culturally is clearly not working. After it balkanizes, keep shrinking the government down to basically the household level. It's IMO immoral to be voting on tax rates for other people, deciding who can put what into their bodies and the legality of my license plate being illuminated. If people want entitlement programs, start a charity and crowd fund it, don't force me to pay for it. If you want to have 9month abortions, move to a place that allows them, if you think any abortion is illegal, go live in a spot where they are illegal. You want to do crank all day and not associate with anyone with a different accent than you, go move there, you want to ban every drug including caffeine and have 15 adult wives, go move to that spot.


Would it work, probably not, but at least we would be back to the founding principals of this nation vs where we are now, which is homeless everywhere yet the national priority is Ukraine. Constant spying on citizens and fear mongering, yet an open boarder. You can smash and grab a target with no consequence, yet I hope a cop doesn't shoot me when an acorn falls on my car during a traffic stop because my headlight is burned out.

I'm back to considering voting for RFK even though there's plenty of his policy I don't support. Seems like throwing a vote to a 3rd party candidate making real noise might be the least of the evils presented. If I don't vote for RFK it's gonna be a Dave Smith write in.

I honestly haven't paid any attention to them to be honest. Burke County is 70% Republican anyway so it doesn't really matter there. Warren Daniel is a fucking crook. I do know that for damn sure.

So, a limited federal government in charge of coordinating interstate commerce and protecting the borders from outside attacks, with say 50 smaller governments at a more localized level?

I go back and forth on the "limited federal gov" as we kind of started out with that, and look at where we are now. Government has the incentive to expand, and always will.

Some morals need to be enforced by government. Things like child abuse is one of those things most of society has agreed should be enforced.

Same. However my dad, who has been in software his whole life, said to never trust that guy as tech executives are all liars.

If wouldn't surprise me if he got a high position in the Trump admin and ran again in 2028. He and Trump have been real close since he dropped out. VP or Sec of State wouldn't surprise me and I think some real national exposure in a cabinet position would make him a shoe in in 2028. For being an unknown name, and a funny sounding Indian one at that, he did exceptionally well, especially considering it was never going to be anyone but Trump.

I would generally agree, especially with Indians but his robust and on topic responses to questions seem genuine. Even a good liar isn't good at answering with those kinds of answers.

one problem that both the large L and little "l" haven't addressed... if there are no boarders, there is no country. And if we truly get a free market, there would be as much, if not more, incentive for people to want to be a part of it.

There's still borders. There's still an immigration process. There's still background checks.

It doesn't need to be so difficult to immigrate here. We just shouldn't be writing any of them checks when they come here broke.

I’m not for open borders btw. I donated (foolishly) to the build the wall thing when that was happening. I can’t think of anything dumber than having unsecured borders. Every other country in the world has better border and immigration security than the USA. How that makes sense to anyone is beyond me. #buildthewall

They do address that and in order to participate in their ideal society, you would be contributing to it, as there is no incentive not to.

This is one of the few things I've always vehemently disagreed with the LP on. Open borders are fucking retarded. Yes, it should be pretty easy to come here, but there should be some limits as well.

I genuinely don't give a shit if people don't participate in society as long as they're not leeching off it. If your family has generational wealth and you want to live as a starving artist off your trust fund you should be able to. If you're poor, fine with being poor and want to go live in the woods alone, you should be free to do that as well as long as it's on your own land and not taking from others.

Agree 100%. The incentives I was talking about was welfare/entitlement programs, food stamps, regressive tax code etc....
