I actually miss a design engineer's bridge project meeting at HQ. All kinds of true diverse people speaking the same language - safety factor of 2.0.

Had a confirmed tornado about 6 miles from me, but nothing crazy here. Back yard has standing water already which is expected. Power and internet still on but bad weather coming in around midnight. I'll be asleep for that
 
Wind is picking up big time. Has rained at lest ten inches so far. It’s looks like it hitting us square on. Power is starting to flicker , so they will kill it shortly.

Thank you for that list above, I haven't had time to really Google it, and my quick search I was was only finding stuff about this one. From what I've found the storm of 1921 was the last time the area got a direct hit.

GF has some genius friends in Tampa. We reserved a hotel room for them and their 4yo daughter up here. They decided to wait until this morning to evac.

Realized their car didn’t have enough gas in it to sit in line. So they are staying in Orlando :shaking:

Wellington got tornadoes earlier. I didn’t have to go there I was in miami shores and coconut grove today. There were also tornadoes in Pembroke Pines which is about 8 miles southwest of Ft. Lauderdale.
