So apparently my ~90 year grandmother decided to ride out the storm from her 2nd floor apartment in Bradenton. At a minimum she'll have an interesting story for sure.
Sounds like she's not in the best of health, very independent and figured evacuating wasn't worth the stress. Can't say I really blame her, though I think she made the decision when it was supposed to be a bit further north. Says she has plenty of supplies, so as long the building stays intact hopefully she'll be fine.

Siesta Key - Doesn't look that bad? Yeah its flooding but that level of water isnt getting too deep in most of the places on the key.
One of my family members just sent me a video from Sarasota where shes out wandering around in their neighborhood with some others (in the eye?) looks not too terrible?
