What's new

***Fail***

so for HP to $$$ comparison.

500R JPO motors motors average around $84,500 each. So that's a total of $507,000 for 3000hp and up to 8 years of warrenty. Figure $600 or so a year for maintenance each with every 3rd year being About $1,400. At 1,000 hours you need to adjust valves.

QC4v sterndrive 1350/1550 with M8 Drives are $275,750 each So that's a total of $551,500 for 2700 hp with 1 year warranty or 3100hp with 10 hours of warranty. (also needs 112 AKI race fuel for that) also they need a refresh every 100 hours at about $80k a pop (not including pulling them and installing them)

Kind of look inexpensive now lol

You are thinking like a normal person. Rich people dont concern themselves over petty stuff. They buy what they want.

Besides, I bet that boat rarely leaves the dock. It was bought as a brag item, for impressing people at social events.

You are 95% correct

Rich people problems are like:
"I want an ice rink on my ranch big enough to have hockey games, just cause for when we have parties and such. The county wont permit me the power to run the cooling equipment, so should I build my own power plant, pay for 50 miles of new powerline to the next county, or install a solar field and battery storage to run the rink?"

And yeah, that was an actual concern voiced in a design meeting by a client who then left to climb on his lear jet and fly down to his vacation island in the caribbean. "Rich Peoples Problems" is a term often used in our office to identify wacky thinking that wealthy people are afflicted with.

You've obviously never been on a center console that big. There's plenty of room down below under the console.

Na, I grew up in RI around Outer Limits boats that went fast and had luxury interiors, so go fast center console floating fuel tanks with a port o crapper were never on my radar.

Sure you did, your ignorance shows.

Not to mention the engines alone on that cigarette could buy most of those "luxury" outer limits you grew up on.

What delaminating is he talking about?

If they really hit a container with it sounds like its prime time for an unrelated insurance fraud to get it fixed for free.
That is a section of a conversation about another cigarette that came through haulover with the side ripped open, and people were going off about quality issues.

It was a separate conversation.
