***Fail***

I came across this abandoned truck while out plowing roads the other day after a snow storm. Looks like he was doing donuts and caught a curb, sheared off at the axle. Not where Id park my $120k truck.

Money can't buy brains.

Im going with boons on this one. His math checks with grimms calc

Online Calculator? Calculating MPH or RPM for Gear Ratio & Tire Size is one of the first formulas I memorized as a gearhead kid. Engine displacement was the 2nd.

MPH = (RPM * Tire Diameter * 60 * Pi) / (12 * 5280 * Gear Ratio)
RPM = (12 * 5280 * Gear Ratio * MPH) / (Tire Diameter * 60 * Pi)

32" Tire, 4.10 Axle, 4.10 T-Case and 5.13 First @ 60MPH = 54,350 RPM.

correct. My math, with some rounding
32"*pi*(1ft/12inch)=8.37' per rev
60mph*(1hr/60mins)*(5280ft/1mile)=5280feet per min
5280f/m/8.37f/r=630r/m
Crawl ratio=86:1*630rpm
54,320rpm.

I am going to guess that it says Deere on the hood.

That will be a letdown. I was thinking hopefully something like this

if you read the thread i posted on this accident you might know. or not. :flipoff2:

I did read it but I think I must have gotten distracted by the horrific pictures as I did not see what caused it.

Any chance your mightyness could give the 2 sec clift notes on the cause?

Yeah no shit. If yould have read the rest of the thread yould have seen a couple posts down when i not only acknowledged said mistake but recalculated and proved that he was correct.

So late to the party and jumping the gun. Good job:lmao:
