Border… I didnt see this one coming

So you’re saying that doors are irrelevant unless you are monitoring them?

Locked doors do not act as a deterrent?
basically

hell, even the walls of your house can probably be dug through with bare hands and sturdy boots
siding, OSB, drywall, none of it is particularly deterrent to someone who wants in

At the same time, legal immigration shouldn’t take ten years either.
yup
someone with skills worth half a shit, speaking gooder english than I do and already well on the way to assimilating? get the fuck in here
groups of hundreds of welfare-seekers "fleeing" from economic problems of their own causing? nah bro

This was a decent start. You have to end the motivation for coming in the first place. Amnesty courts shouldn’t take ten years. Catch & Release is an absurd policy.

My friend who is Canadian, who lived here in BC and married a long time girlfriend that has dual citizenship, they have two kids, sold everything here and moved to Tennessee to be near her dad and brother, bought a out right house, and got settled in, took him 9 months to get a work visa, and he is still waiting to try and get citizenship almost 3 years later and I think has spent $15k already on an immigration lawyer.

No criminal record, no reason he shouldn't be allowed in. He is a journey men finish carpenter, has completed project management certifications. Not a free loader. He wants to work.

I mean to be fair, he's Canadian. I'm not sure we want those people here. :flipoff2:

doesn't fit into the quota system

invest in a trip to the border checkpoint with the right words in his mouth, in fake poor inglaes instead of english
"I am seeking asylum I am a worthless drain on the welfare system I wish to vote"

the worthless support statist wealth redistribution bullshit
the worthwhile are those who will be robbed by an overbearing state
Who is the state going to give preferential treatment to when everyone's vote counts the same?

sigh seriously? Have you simply not been paying attention?
So you have a problem with people saying, fuck you, we deserve more than fucking crumbs? Because the democrats "border bill" was basically just that. We're going to throw money at all the shit we want and yeah, here's a few pennies for the wall you want.

No amount of laying out exactly what the incentives are will make stupid people not stupid.

yup
build the state its wall, it won't be used against you
fund the state's policy enforcement wing, it won't be used against you
be sure and vote to keep the idea of you voting on someone else's rights appearing legitimate, it won't be used against you

oh wait, it always has been and it always will be

You think Lankford is a democrat? 🙄

As I said from the start, a wall is worthless without fixing the real problems. That bill was a decent start. It’s not perfect, but it’s a big step in the right direction.

The real problem is our fucking border is wide open. Build the wall...................

screw that "step in the right direction" bullshit. the same horse shit we were fed about 10,000 pages of Obama Care. now that 12 years later insurance premiums have increased 20% each year instead of helping anyone, which was always a lie.

im only confident that a "not perfect" border bill is just going to work to crush the immigration system faster and then in 3 years and another 5 million illegals... oh we need to fix this! bull shit

Which bill, exactly are you talking about? And what parts of said bill are you claiming would be effective?

Oh yes, it's much better the way it is today. :shaking:

Are you completely retarded? The law is already there, theyre not following it.
And congress has stripped funding to expand the amnesty and immigration courts, which has led to the 10 year timelines. Congress has to provide the funding with, gasp a fucking law.

No it's not, in case you missed it, close the fucking border...........period. We had an immigration policy, this admin threw it all out the window on day 1.

.
You had executive orders. Now you know why executive orders are worthless.

If you talking about the border deal that would let 5,000 in a day I don't think that's much of a plan. That 1.8 million/yr. That would be on top of the 1 million we allow in every year through the right channels.

Glad Trump helped axe it.
.

I just read a few other things, even if the Senate approved it the House and OBiden would have to approve it too.
And a lot of others Independent of Trump were against it too, but no surprise some Talking heads blame mainly Trump.

You're right, we're definitely better with 10,000 a day coming in now, untracked. Definitely better. :shaking:

The bill was horrible, in the end.

For those who are complaining about the "process" being broken and needing reform... What makes you think that a set of laws that are ignored by the Executive Branch, State and local governments, when replaced with new laws, would suddenly be followed?

Do you believe that codifying 5k/day in law would reduce the number to a max of 5k/day?

Especially given that 0/day is technically codified in law currently?
Nowhere in the existing law are 0 immigrants codified in law.

edit: also, where is the 5,000 number listed in the law?

Edit2: I looked it up. It doesn't allow 5,000 migrants per day. It automatically stops ALL asylum requests if there are 5,000 migrants on average over a seven-day period. That 5,000 number is a secondary trigger to make it even more difficult to apply for asylum. It's literally what you're asking for.
