Border… I didnt see this one coming

and where there still aren't enough people and the lines become 10 years long... like they are today. Your option is more funding or long lines.
As long as the lines are still on the otherside of the wall, I'm ok with that. They can stretch all the way back to their home countries.

What’s your suggestion, that can get passed into law? Right now you’ve got 300k people showing up at the murder each month. Your best case scenario, Trump is elected and takes office in January and he has a republican house and senate. That’s 2,700,000 encounters since April at the current status quo.

if the current laws are not being enforced... what's the point of passing a new law? Serious question...

:lmao:

Current laws are being enforced, but if that's your take then what's the point of anything at all?
uh....what?

If we were enforcing the laws on the books, this thread wouldn't even exist.

My point is that people like yourself believe that we must pass a new law to fix the problem. People like me are stating the problem wouldn't exist if we enforced current laws.

Yes.

Great, then build that wall!!!

And continue letting them in through the gate, just like today.

no matter how much you tout it, they are not enforcing the laws now. Period.

heres a fact: illegals are being arrested for crimes other than their initial crime of entering the country illegally, which is a crime no matter how you or your favorite democrat politicians want to spin it, and then they are being paroled or let out on bail or let out on cashless bail.

under the current law, those illegals should be detained and deported and they are not. that is a violation of the current laws.

why cant we enforce our laws? if we did Laken Riley wouldnt be dead today.

I have no problem with long lines. The more desirable places have longer lines to get in to.

There is no argument saying the immigration policy needs to be thrown out but to refuse to start because its not perfect is stupid. Enforcement of current laws need to show they work or are necessary. If they dont work then they need to be removed and replaced if needed with a proper law.

Again there is no forced labor by enforcement of our laws as they are. What fo you have against starting where we are at and seeing what works and doesn’t work?

The lines are INSIDE the wall.

Umm, that's been my point from the beginning. It's the republicans that refused to start.

Umm, because it's not working. I was against building a worthless wall when we're letting people in through the front door.

That's my point. The lines should be in Mexico. Not on our soil.

this is also a lie.

this was a giant issue right after obama got in. why didnt the democrats fix it? oh and then they had the senate and house under Biden and they did nothing?

so now they dont have the house but they control the senate and President and now its the Republicans that "refuse to start" ? again, complete lies and complete propaganda about all of this.

the GOP refuses to start what? The current executive branch is DNC... and the current executive branch is ignoring - and refusing to enforce - current law.

What else was in that bill?

this continues to be an ignored question.

I posted a link to the entire text, twice.

It’s an issue for the dens now because Abbott made it their issue by bussing them to blue cities. That was a genius move on his part.
this continues to be an ignored question.

Which got funded anyway, and without any immigration fixes. Great job!

well... you didn't... You posted a summary and portions of the proposed bill... not the entire bill.

I know that.

You know that.

Everyone else reading this thread knows that.

He knows it, but he'll never admit it nor will he admit that he has no clue what was in the actual propose bill that was put on the floor.

you did not post the entire text twice... You got called out and you attacked...
attacked. :lmao:

I said "OK."

As for posting links, I've responded many times in this thread with links and data. All I get for counter arguments is "current laws aren't being followed."

Since you're being so demanding here. Be specific. Which laws, exactly, aren't being followed. I'll expect full text links, summaries, and data to back up your claims.

Are there any illegal immigrants in the USA? Yes/No.

If the answer is Yes... then laws are not being enforced. It's quite binary....

You keep saying current laws are being followed, last I looked Asylum seekers are suppose to go to the first country they encounter to do so. I kinda think their coming from around the world through multiple countries and only seek Asylum here. And then we let them in, I won't even get into the accommodation we afford them.

So we're not only NOT enforcing our own laws, we're not enforcing international laws.

BTW, stop using the Trump thing, it's old.

EDIT: unless you mean Trump POLICY, then I'll all in.

Every year people come to the United States seeking protection because they have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution due to:

  • Race
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Membership in a particular social group
  • Political opinion
You may only file this application if you are physically present in the United States, and you are not a U.S. citizen.

What Trump thing? That he blocked the bill? He did. He specifically told republicans running for office to blame him for blocking the bill.
