In for updates and because DeLorean
I notice they made you park away from the rest of them.....lol
That said, I would love to have your car.
”They” say 3000 are still around. I think most are not painted. The reason most get painted is an accident. (Tough to straighten stainless without a trace. If I was going color, I would go wrap. That blue BMW in the pics is a wrap. There was a Lamborghini Hericon with a matte black wrap that was way cool. The guy told me it has shiny black paint underneath.Anyone with enough money can go out and buy most of the cars at that show same day. The Delorean is rare and unique, no surprise that people are drawn to it. Any idea how many are still out there with no paint?
That does look nice and clean. It looks like it fits better than stock. I’ve seen the LS swapped ones and they are tight. I like things to be easy to work on. If my motor goes bad, I’ll be looking in to that.
Do you know if he has a build thread?
That is actually a scratch/flaw in the louver. Always been there. Debated sanding it and painting or maybe buffing.Yeah the white spot on the left is clearer in the after pic fer sher.
Theres somethin different about that motor
I wish that motor was in the D. The Delorean is in the rear view. (Where it would naturally be when running with this car)Theres somethin different about that motor
We need a pic of that bitch doin 88mph
They had a back to the future prop car at Universal Studios yesterday and I could not believe how hard that car was getting mobbed by everyone, especially the foreigners. It was a cool thing to see for sure.
Wifey watches the vintage price is right channel, episode the other day a Delorean rolls out and that crowd went crazy, even then.
Sweet car
Are you suggesting that trailer won't haul a 9000 lb. excavator?
Is 1st synchro'd in those?
And 40 year old seals in the MC/SC could be deteriorated and not sealing well, but not bad enough to leak externally...
Spitballin' tho...
I don’t completely understand synchros. I had a Jaguar once that didn’t have synchro on first. You couldn’t down shift into it, but it went in fine from a stop. I thought the only reason you need synchros is when the car is moving.Yea syncros wear out. Especially first since you're shifting into that gear while stopped so it has to slow down the gears the most while stopped. Try slipping it into second and then into first so you're using 2nds syncros to stop the spinning gears.
We’ve got some stuff around that’s just the move. My brothers 6 speed manual Cummins, if you want to go to first gear you put it in second first then it glides on into first. My little Bronco is the same way except it doesn’t like to go into first or second right off the bat. I put it in third first then it will glide into reverse first or second.I don’t completely understand synchros. I had a Jaguar once that didn’t have synchro on first. I intend tI fix the clutch, but your saying if it were to happen again, I could shift into second and then quickly shift into first?
When the pilot bearing is going bad and gripping the input shaft that's the easiest way to diagnose it. Ran into that a bunch of times over the years. For future reference
When dealing with a bad clutch one option is to shit the car off, put it in first, then start the car in gear.
Fix the clutch obviously it that truck got me home more than once
