I like to think that it’s not that we can’t build giant megalithic structures, it’s just that we don’t want to any more. It’s not that long ago that people were building huge structures that took decades to complete. There’s castles and cathedral all over Europe that took generations to complete. Today we want quick fast structures so that we don’t outlive the construction of our own houses.


I also like to think that if we were populated by aliens, perhaps one reason they haven’t come back is because they either annihilated themselves the same way we nearly have, or they were destroyed by another invading alien species and we’re too primitive to be worth the time, or maybe even they were destroyed by a supernova, gamma ray burst, or maybe something as simple as an asteroid impact, so there’s no one left to come check up on us.

Or, most likely, there are so many other interesting places to go they've not returned.

How many of you who take a vacation at, say Rome or Egypt or Paris, ever go back?

If you want to get super weird, how about this theory:
The travel distance is too great, and even though there may be other species in the universe, it's not feasible for them to visit. The "aliens" are actually time travelers and they look humanoid because they're an evolved version of us a couple of hundred thousand years in the future.

Watched some videos suggesting "they" want the public to believe it's all alien tech and alien visits to cover for those using the technology for illegal endeavors. Plus there are WAY too many astronomers that track stuff to keep it hidden. They tracked the Air Force X-37B within hours of launch and the air force had to ask them to stop uploading the data to online stuff.

Only thing is if it's truly advanced alien technology then there may be no way for astronomers to observe it. The crafts may have no heat signature, emit no light, may even move faster than light or manipulate gravity in a way where it cannot even be observed with conventional instruments available to astronomers.

I’ve listened to Loeb on a podcast or two. If you can reach him he might be one of the few scientists that won’t just dismiss you as a hack that’s fucking with him. I think He talked about this material on the JRE show, or maybe it was Lex Friedman. Says if it turns out to just be a rock he wouldn’t be ashamed to admit it. He’s just a physicist trying to figure out where it came from.
