Oh... To escape the stress of modern living-
lol, the original conspiracy floating around the web was that Alec Baldwin was threatening someone after a take. It was quietly deleted. Crazy to have all of those cameras and no evidence was presented.

Baldwin made his first appearance in the courtroom on Monday when Judge Mary Marlowe Summer, in a significant victory for the defense, ruled at a pretrial hearing that his role as a co-producer on "Rust" isn't relevant to the trial.

Before that ruling, prosecutors hoped to highlight Baldwin's safety obligations on the set as co-producer, to bolster an alternative theory of guilt beyond his alleged negligent use of a firearm. They aimed to link Baldwin's behavior to "total disregard or indifference for the safety of others" under an involuntary manslaughter law.

well there goes my angle. I wonder how they proved that him being a co producer wasn't relevant? It sure would have been relevant if it had ended up being a big money maker since that's what his points were probably tied to. All the rewards and none of the risks? How's that work?

I assume that would be a different trial for a different charge. Negligence, or something similar, for hiring the wrong people.

article says that it was for the same involuntary manslaughter charge.

so I'm not sure how his role as a producer is not relevant. He was literally responsible for his employee's safety.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer of the First Judicial District in New Mexico ruled that prosecutors could not argue that Mr. Baldwin’s role as a member of the film’s production team — he was one of its producers in addition to being its leading man — had made him more culpable for the death of the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.

It was a blow to the prosecution, which had sought to make Mr. Baldwin’s role as a producer part of their case. “As the producer he has the power to control safety on set, and there was a tremendous lack of safety on this set,” one of the prosecutors, Erlinda O. Johnson, argued in court earlier on Monday.

I still don't understand it.
He hired the armorer and failed to properly supervise her right?

Looks like AB has high blood pressure..?

The first rumors on the inter web was that he went on a tangent and aimed it at her and pulled the trigger. All of that got scrubbed in minutes.

I think the video was daming and he’s pissed that he’s gonna have to have community service. :homer:

It was rumored that Miss Hutchins was going to rat out on AB about his kiddie porn collection. 🤔

Q

You're really biased about this, aren't you?
I just feel like him going to prison for killing a lady with a handgun after all his years of being a gun control proponent would amuse me.

alec baldwin said:
"And she doesn't care how many dead bodies she has to step over in that pursuit. The Second Amendment is not a moral credit card that buys you all the guns you want. That law needs to be rethought."

and he was speaking about figurative dead bodies, here he is actually responsible for creating one and trying to shirk that responsibility.

so yeah, I'm rooting for alec baldwin to go to prison for killing someone, just like he would root for me to go to prison for the same actions.

A simple "yes" would have sufficed

to expound upon that thought.
I don't like hypocrites, and he is a hypocrite.
he rails against my right to own a firearm, but uses firearms gleefully to make millions of dollars on screen.

Which one of us is perpetuating gun violence more? Me, with my firearms that others rarely see, or him, putting out action movies and shit to a global audience?
