Very true and I'm trying, but when he tells me can meet Monday or Tuesday and then those go by with nothing and then he says later in the week and that didn't happen and then he tells me he can't meet over the weekend cuz he's meeting other guys, that's why my patience is simmering. You can't tell me we are going to meet 3 different times and then change it
!! I'm still on good terms, I think, as I've not said anything bad, but last night he asked if I had pic of my tranny and I said no, but I told him it was a later 4l80e with the cooling ports front and rear and he came back and said is it dirty. I said well if it wasn't rebuilt like your dad said he was going to do then yea it still is probably dirty. That's all he said about it, so I'm not sure he saw my transmission or not. But I did say we have to meet next week and he agreed, so there's still hope I get my stuff and then there's going to be the money thing that maybe I get back with tools or parts, cuz I doubt there will be any money available.
I did get my block, crank and rods, so until I know what parts I'm hopefully getting back from the kid I'm in limbo about the machine work. I was going to bore it .060, but if there's no new pistons or other parts then I may rethink that and go to .030 bore or just hone it if it doesn't need a re-bore, but we shall see.
Today I started to build some stands to hold the truck up for full droop to redo my coil-spring weights, cuz I'm tired of jacking and blocking, jacking and blocking and jacking and blocking and so on. I'm sitting too high at ride height now and I'm not really sure how the calcs I did originally didn't work out, well I know why the rear may be sitting high, but the front shouldn't be and it is. Reason is 2 of my springs were 250lbs and not 225lbs and I did all the calcs off the 225lb spring rate which made my calcs wrong on either the front or rear(I don't recall which now), but still I have 225/225 on the front and it sat high with the old motor in it, so once I get the new motor and tranny in and all the crap bolted back on I'll re-do the spring calcs and see if I messed up or the online calculator isn't what I should've used and hopefully these new adjustable jack stands will make it easier and safer.
