What's new

2bbs 2021 bronco build

Yep and in the back its horrible. My new wheels will help some but im going to have to figure out some sort of rear calliper skid plate.... maybe going from the calliper mounting bolts and wrapping around tight u0 to the housing

New rims will help a bunch. My wildtrack rims have them crazy exposed. The other guys running a better offset have not hit anything brake side.

Did you pull the lift off yet, or is that just bolting them on?

Have you test fit the other wheels or am I miss understanding?

That clearance is nuts for 37s. I'd be curious if my buddies 49s give him that much

Ive test fit the other rims and ground where they hit as much as im comfortable with. I ordered some 1/8 and 1/4 wheel spacers to play with. I think I can get away with 1/8 up front and nothing in the rear.

Pulled the 2" lift out and threw a 1/4" spacer above and below the front coilover for a total of 1/2" in the front to keep it level

really though, you'll be hard pressed to actually hit the caliper on anything. Sure it's not 100% tucked, but it's still right there along the tire and very out of the way.

2big bronco what's the wheel BP on the Bronco?

That’s what I was thinking. Sure looks nice over the bucket.

For the record, without modification 6" seems to be the max with a 17" rim with these portals. Any more and you (or me) start grinding into shiny expensive bits.

20s would fit everywhere much better.

Damn

So those wheels won't work? Or are you making them work?

Hopefully so, because they look much better with the real rings.

Yep, ground about 1/2" off the upper corner of the dual sheer steering mount. It still touches but I think just bairly. Ordered 1/8 and 1/4 spacers to play with. I still can grind a little more but wanted to see exactly where im at with the spacers.

Well at least you'll know that it will be as narrow as possible with the portals

Those are by far the best looking wheels ford offered for the Bronco, shame they were only on one specific trim, and already discontinued. 2bb's photo with the rings set on them may have just motivated me to flip the bead and install mine.

I managed to hit a brake line already.... It self cleared itself up a little bit. Also, the parking brake module is right there and that sucker is stupid expensive.

Yes, badlands non sasquatch. An odd wheel for sure.

It is an optional wheel on top of that, the standard Badlands wheels are not beadlock capable, but are the same dimensions and backspacing. These got to be rare as hen's teeth and undesirable for anyone not running portals on their Bronco.

My father could only run 11.50" wide 35"s since the non-sasquatch badland wheels have so much backspacing that wider tires will rub on the upper A-arms.

Yep, im sure very few people who didnt get the sasquatch package thought they needed beadlocks. I know of 1 more set for sale but they probably arnt cheap. You can also order them from ford performance so thats always an option.

Those wheels look so much better with the beadlock rings that it looks like a completely different wheel. Not bad for a factory offering....

You have a part number handy?

I just looked at a set, and they are almost as much as the Tibus CTIS wheels.

Link to order the wheels

Holy fuck, and you still have to buy rings on top of that. $2,150 for the wheels, $850 for the rings works out to $600 per wheel (but you have to buy 5), at that point you are getting close to 4 forged or billet beadlocks that you can get ~6" backspacing.

Not sure what your price on the tibus wheels are but mine is $1500 per wheel

Looks like good deal on the used market is $6-900 for 5 badlands wheels + $900 rings

If you are buying new then yes... but those billet wheels are only 6" back spacing and are wider then 8". At a 9" wide wheel that puts the outside 1-3/4 further then these which is pretty significant

I never thought they looked great, but also didn't think they were terrible. The rings helped a lot, but rock rashing the shit out of them will be even better

Yep, the face sticking out almost as far as the beadlock ring wont stay glosss black for long
