1st gen Tacoma Reg cab

I like those packrats. Fuckers are handy.

Used to see those lil work beds on s10's everywhere around here
 
All the logger guys I know run pack rats or a similar brand.

The decked ones are OK for brodozers I guess.

Never seen one for a Toyota, but it would be really sweet. Pack all your camping shit on top, but still access all tools.

If I could find one cheap, I’d definitely consider it. But they seem hard to find

My boss has one, I wouldn't say it's bad, but I'm with you, not paying full price.

Seems like it has a lot of wasted space with the shape of the drawers. Also way taller than a pack rat, which would go either way I guess. But even in his 3500 gm, its like 8" below the bed rails. So you can't put mu h in there and still be very secure.
 
I found the packrat on my street about 2 blocks down. Was a steal for 200 bucks. Should be handy for some chains, straps on d tools. Its heavy AF.. Definitely needed 2 men to get it in the back of my Ram 2500.

Seller finally responded after three tries… told him I want to buy it, but being that I’m 2 hours away, I’d really appreciate a couple of measurements.

His response was “it came off an 88 Toyota pickup.”

Well no shit. It says that in the damned Ad.
 
I get that it's a pain to sell shit with all of the idiots these days. But I don't get the indignant sellers. They act all high and mighty then can't believe there isn't a line of people outside throwing cash at them for whatever garbage they have.

Also, just because it was on an 88 Toyota, doesn't mean it fit well. Asking for a few measurements isn't unreasonable.

I even explained that in my previous- unanswered - message. That I knew it would fit easily on a 1-3rd gen pickup, but that I was going to be using it in a custom application…. That I’m happy to do mods, but I really need the quick measurements. Length, width… then length and width of the inside bed.

That’s it.

I’m not wasting 4 hours and $60 in gas only to find out I can’t make it work

Right, and what I meant was just because it was on a 2nd gen, doesn't mean it fit well. We've all seen utility beds on stuff that looked like ass. Wheel well misaligned with tire, bed wider or narrower than the cab, ect.

So even if you had a 2nd gen truck to measure, it doesn't mean shit.

It's how like 70% of sellers are now. "fuck you, I won't answer questions, or post any real information, but I want top dollar, no haggling" then when they're buying shit it's offer half price.

Guy at my work is like that, he's got like 4 or 5 pos Toyota builds between him, his dad and brother. Always looking for shit half price, then trying to sell at double. He's the type that even if you're getting $40k worth of shit for $10k, he'll try and offer $8k:homer: and yes that actually happened when we went and picked up a whole shop full of tools over winter. I thought the seller was going to chase us out of there :shaking:

If I actually get this bed, it will be a long term thing.

Right now, I’m waiting on the back-ordered Halltech AFR gauge.

Really don’t want to reinstall dallnthr dash pieces only to have to take them all part again to wire that thing.

Probably won’t even touch the sliders for months

If it makes you feel any better, I'm giving a hot tub away for free on NC4X4 and sent about 5 pictures of the manual with weights and dimensions to the person who wants it 10mins after I got home from work and a few hours after I saw the post:laughing:

I’ve been waiting on a Haltech AFR for a number of weeks. Tomorrow, I’m going to out the dash back together and finish the wiring for the boost gauge… and I suspect the moment I do that, the damned AFR gauge will ship and I’ll have to tear it all apart again…
