ok kool,
Ya, definitely shaved some life off it. Been keeping an eye out for a good deal on a truck with an LS and a manual to swap in it. No, I can't fit a Hemi. I even measured out for an 8.1 and Allison I had my eye on.. Definitely won't fit with out major re engineering of everything.compression probably just about right to boost it after eating that much grit :(
Nothing a sawzall or torch can’t fixYa, definitely shaved some life off it. Been keeping an eye out for a good deal on a truck with an LS and a manual to swap in it. No, I can't fit a Hemi. You are absolutely correct. Just don't have the funds to do a complete rebuild.. other eise the supercharged 8.1 and Allison would have gone in it. Lol...Nothing a sawzall or torch can’t fix
Understandable there for sure although with the ideas of a supercharged 8.1, I’d gladly throw some sawzall blades and torch gas your direction for encouragementYou are absolutely correct. Thanks. It's a fun build.Keeps getting cooler and cooler!
Looking forward to wheeling pictures! Thanks. It's a fun build.
Thanks. Ya that picture came out really good. I have no idea why I keep wiping out transfercases. Going to have tondo some serious investigation.Domer that super sucks but such a cool picture with the mountain backdrop.
Quite strange indeed. Do you know which transfer case left the chat? Thanks. Ya that picture came out really good. I have no idea why I keep wiping out transfercases. Going to have tondo some serious investigation.
Ya, it's my rear case the Jeep NP241. It happened 3 times on the last case, so Replaced it with a different case that I inspected when I bought it. 4th time out and it does it again. The fork pads melt, burn up the aluminum fork, then the range hub is free to move about..Quite strange indeed. Do you know which transfer case left the chat?
No experience with the innards of a 241, but that’s super strange.Ya, it's my rear case the Jeep NP241. Shifters are good. Used to be aluminum handles with mechanical linkage, but no detents. Now I'm running twin cable shifters. Same thing, no detents, so transfer case inner detents are functioning as stops. So no misalignment.Sounds like something is putting pressure on the fork when there shouldn't be. How is your shifter set up?
