What's new

Work tomorrow?

Just got into work. Air ambulance so we never close. Not a big deal, I'll check on everything and dip out early.

I'm at work today, and tomorrow. Actually working 12s all week. I work in a Limestone quarry and we never shut down. :vader2:

Not working, but chasing a 1 year old around a house that’s not prepared for a 1 year old will feel like a full time job.

I remember those days, not that long ago- I would have volunteered for work. "Sorry guys... I got scheduled. Can't call in on Christmas eve or they.... you know... they like.... take all my pay next year. And fine me. It's like a $150 fine. And no pay next year. Yall have fun, wish I could make it."

Came in because we have no plans at home...easy day with skeleton crew. Extra $ doesnt hurt.

Checking in.:homer:

Sitting down for a healthy american lunch now. Cold spagettiOs and mountain dew.

You, indulging in the carbohydrate Jew? The Western diet was fabricated to enslave the White Man with beetus and arthritis.

Working until noon, I'm oncall so anything breaks I'm on the hook again.

When I was working security I always worked holidays, it let the guys with familys be with them, and the pay was good.

When I was single I volunteered to work every holiday so the family guys could be with their kids. Now I’m family guy so I want to be home.

OK, whatever, I'm sure when you guys are old and crusty you'll be wishing you took less days off because of a few deadlines that you almost didn't make. :flipoff2:

Anyway, off to figure out how to surprise my wife with the dirt bike she had when we got married. Hope everyone enjoys the holidays in whatever way they do so :usa::beer:

Well I'm not the man at my job, I just work for the man. He says work till 2. I'm out of vacation days. So I work till 2. Pretty simple, not sure what you were looking for out of this thread?

Hope your wife loves the bike!

Personally I would rather be working vs sitting at home, doing nothing (or doing the cooking) while my in-laws are in my house making noise, eating my food, and drinking my liquor. I don't like getting junk gifts of stuff I don't need and really don't like giving gifts and the whole Christmas thing. Same goes with every other holiday to there. Days off are just an obstacle to getting my shit done.

Was just curious if my opinion on working today was shared with most or not. Seems to be 50/50. I don't really care, but it always cracks me up when guys have to be all indignant with their opinion, so I have to fling the shit back. It's always light hearted when it ends with a :flipoff2:

Since it's Xmas eve and I'm in a giving mood, here's a few Extra :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

I've been working from home since March 17th. I'm on the clock today, but there is very little going on this week besides a few emails.

Scheduled to work today as we did last year. Owner text last night saying his wife said everyone take the day off tomorrow.
I'm grateful but will be working in my own cnc shop at least half the day today anyway.
