Whistlin Diesel is gonna hurt some feelers with this one (R32 abuse)

I don't really care for skylines or the people who are fanbois over them. However, whistlindiesel is annoying. I can't stand watching his crap regardless of what he's doing.
 
I have to admit, i enjoyed the squatted truck videos. But he sure does come across as an arrogant dick.

To me he sounds just like that one hyper-active kid in your middle school class that needed attention from everyone. The first video I watched took me right back to 6th grade. I bet he's been doing it for the likes and views and upvotes since before he ever was on the internet.

Don't know what an R32 is and still don't. Couldn't care much less. Smash On. It was more valuable for him to buy and smash than it was for anyone else to buy or sell.

I think WD is fucking hilarious and I subscribe to his channel. It's entertaining as all hell and he's a genius at marketing his business.

I also get a lot of enjoyment from reading the comment on here from people who say "don't watch his channel and he'll go away". Oh yeah, just like that huh? Bunch of YouTube marketing guys up in here apparently


Hell this thread is already on page 4 talking about him. No such thing as bad publicity and I guarantee you his sponsors see threads like this one all over the web and it makes them write his check that much faster

I must be the rare one who doesn’t watch him and he goes away. I’m now expecting YouTube to suggest his channel to me. Unlike this thread I’ll scroll past it.


My favorite video he made ended with him explaining how he got some epic shot from a mountain top because he woke up, holed the fucking thing, spent a bunch of time taking and retaking videos, and told kids it wasn’t easy and took serious commitment. It was awesome.

I have watched a handful of his videos. The Jeep Jl one, several of him destroying the blue any level F250(F350?) and the school tractor one.

Solid time waster, but I dont subscribe. If I come accross one, I may or may not watch it.
 
His YouTube interactions are through the roof, good and bad. He started off as a destructive teenager and has evolved to a sorta interesting entertainer. I give it too him, he spends a lot of money to make just a video or so a month. The editing and quality of his videos are top notch even if you don’t like the content. I find him humorous and I don’t get mad at him for breaking his own stuff. Most of what he’s doing or saying is a joke. Plenty of us here are guilty of ruining decent vehicles. There’s a line in the Howard Stern Private parts movie where the say people that like him listen an average of 2 hrs a day, whereas the people that hate him listen an average of 2.5 hrs a day. I see this applying to this kid, he’s riding that wave and banking as much as he can. Can’t really fault him for finding a formula that works.
 
I don't care, the dynamic he has with his cameraman is hilarious.
 
If you haven't heard his podcast with Roman Atwood he goes deep into his past and how he grew up. Actually quite humble and his persona on YT is not what he is in real life. But as he also says on YT, just cry about it. :flipoff2:

There are plenty of people i find anything but entertaining, yet i don't wish them dead. I just don't give them any screen time or thought... doing what you're doing just makes them more popular, and far more driven to piss you off even more. Wd's channel is a prime example of that.. derp derp
