It is common for the GAWRs to add up to higher than the GVWR.
It's been my experience the state cares about three things for overweight tickets:
Axle rating, often reduced by bridge distance (axle grouping & spacing).
Tire rating
Registered weight
Manufacturer stated GVWR and GCWR are almost irrelevant outside of licensing requirements and a starting point for what registered weight to pay for.
You'll be within axle ratings, tire ratings, and your paid registered weight. I wouldn't worry if I was driving.
Hell, my state sells a 10% over harvest permit and a 10% winter permit. Nearly every grain trailer on our highways is over factory GCWR and hauling 88k* instead of 80k because of a piece of paper in the window.
*And definitely not exceeding 88k or crossing state lines like this. Wink, wink.
