Verbally abusive co-worker, HR fun

Years ago I worked at a place that had this office gal that was cute as a button but none too smart. She fucked up an order and one of my peers got blamed for it. He got into her shit about it and she went crying to HR about harassments. (he's 6'3" and she's about 5'1") HR called him in and wrote him up threatening him with his job. "you can't yell at her no matter what". So I started avoiding her and only dealt with her when I had to. She complained to HR that I was avoiding her. (another form of harassment) I told them "yep, I don't want anything to do with her. She did it once, she's going to do it again and it ain't gonna be me". They let it slide.

About a month later she pulled the same stunt on another guy. HR ignored her.

You failed at identifying as gender fluid and as a lbgtqia+ woman that day.

I'm actually considering putting my pronouns as they them at work as employment insurance.
Honestly, it would be the smart thing to do. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I just bowed out of corporate America and God willing ill never have to go back.

This is the problem with "protected classes" in the workplace. It makes it really hard to get rid of problems and the problems absolutely know this and take full advantage of it. Just treat everyone equally. But some how the civil rights movement evolved into certain people being more equal than others.

100%, saw this last year. A gentleman of Indian (Dot not feather) decided to do jumping jacks next to his running machine and caught his hand on the side subsequently fucking his fingers up. His story was he was stretching and snagged it. Cameras told a different story. Injured while horse playing, lied to safety with video evidence, but kept his job.

We had another that was in corrective custody and I got voluntold to watch her on the weekend. Forget was she did, but was a piece of shit that was really gaming the system and trying to burn everyone along with her on her way out.

It's supposed to be more or less a modern version of "hard labor", least back then it was.

She has bullshitted and weaseled at the hospital enough to get waivers to the point she could barely do anything. Lost security clearance too, so couldn't do anything inside the fence.
My boss said figure it out, keep her busy.

I made her build a snowman out in the parking lot, then a snowwife, snow kids, snowdog, etc. She's getting into it, almost happy.
Has near a village of snow people, working on a snow house and im all, wow, that's awesome!
This went on for 5-6 hours.

I go out to the shed, grab the front end loader with plow and push the whole works into the snowbank. She's standing there crying like I just killed her family.
Andddd make her start again.

Got hauled into the commander's office on Monday, oh shit!

Commander had a shit eatting grin like the grinch and about high fived me for it. Got some serious atta boys too.

What job was that?

Just become a protected class yourself and say you are homosexual. You don’t have to tell them you are lesbian.

Honestly, it would be the smart thing to do. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I just bowed out of corporate America and God willing ill never have to go back.

I've been doing some soul searching the last three and a half years or so, I might actually be a black woman who's attracted to Latinas. It's hard to explain. I am very thankful that I have this safe place to talk to my peers about my gender and race struggles. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel that it may come to a head in November :rainbow:

I’m hung up on the fact you called a car dealership a “professional” environment. I’ve only ever had the displeasure of being a customer and I’m sure it’s different if you work at one and rely on it as your job but I’m shocked they even have a HR department based on what a shitbag every person I’ve ever dealt with at one is. Next you’re going to tell us how valuable real estate agents are and how hard they work to earn their money.

I met a guy who works for a large (well known) banking firm. He’s a pretty big to do and told me they absolutely would never hire a woman for upper level positions . He said if shit gets sideways there is literally no way to get rid of them.
This is why all the protected classes bullshit are going to work against a lot of decent people. You want to be able to move on from people who don't work out, either from a performance perspective, drama, they turn out bat shit crazy, or whatever. If you're high enough up the food chain to not have to worry about all the DEI bullshit or you're a small enough company to not have to worry about it, you're probably going to tend to prefer candidates that allow easier opportunities to correct the mistakes.

just remember HR is not there for you, they are a mole to mine information for the benefit of the company

HR is being nice to OP, because he is the informant with the information they need to 'press charges'
When they get enough information, OP will be next

just imagine you are talking to the cops and everything will be used against you when convenient

Not to brag, but these girls that OP is writing about used to be the gate keepers for all of our parts during shutdowns

I used to flirt with them (in a way that keeps you out or HR) talk to them, not about work either. I could care less you got a horse, but I listen and banter

When shutdown came, I had FULL run of the warehouses and could expedite anything and everything our crew ever needed
suck it up dude, she may have a cute friend that needs a date :grinpimp:

Seems as though a lot of you guys work for the woke.

Fuuuuuuck that!!!
It's odd because on the one hand, absolutely.

On the other, I told a gal the other day she needs to give a senior person [who she is intimidated by because she's new] a whole list of fuck yous and fuck that and eat shit. No asking, just telling, "use these words, if you won't. Let me know and I will" because I was out of the office and she was there, easier to deliver in person.

A few hours later, I found out she wilted a bit....so next time I see her, I'll have to find out why. Also, she is supposed to work in my office starting last week. Apparently is putting it off because I yell sometimes.

That sort of stuff won't get me fired. My bigger concern is that I'll say "I didn't let women work here, I just deal with it since they do" and somebody will take offense and I'll end up with sensitivity training

Remember HR is not there to protect the employees. HR exists to protect the company.

HR will look at everything through that lens. That means, you may be 100% right in any given situation and still get shafted in the end.
This 150 percent!!! I’ve watched them railroad a fair share of people in the school district I retired from. Never any of the good old boys though.

On the same note, there is a female head custodian at one high school that has played this exact game for years. She documents small little things and builds a case against someone. Then pulls the pin and HR fries em. She did this to my youngest son. I warned him that working for her was suicide. He needed the insurance so he tried hard to please her and do a good job. Nope, lasted six months. She went through five people in that position in two years. She pissed me off royally and so I burned her with her own game and with the next kid I let HR know if she played the same game with him I was going to get lawyers involved. She ran into a roadblock when she played the game with him! Nothing HR fears more than lawyers and lawsuits.
