All I know is that every day I'm more and more glad that when I caved and got the poison shot for like $60k/yr more, I went J&J not mRNA

Glad it fell on an empty chamber for you, as it does for most. Step 1 is always survival without disabling medical conditions.
I assume you already have kids so we don't need to hope for the best on step 2, to procreate without issues...

I'm just thinking out loud here- my kids doctor, the #1 human I trust with their health, knows my kids had cvd-19 in whatever variant and did just fine with it. That they now have natural antibodies AND there's no question or wondering how their immune system might react... this person (who I'm paying $$$ for a service) is somehow aggravated by the fact that I won't give a questionable med to my kid(s) to marginally help with a virus that's no longer questionable if they get it....

Piss the fuck off. Next time this happens I'd rake the jar of cotton swabs off onto the floor and walk out holding double middle fingers over my head. YMMV

Unfortunately/fortunately no kids (not married, never been, glad there aren't any yet). Half want them, half don't. If I can't have kids now I'll just have 2 airplanes. Bummer.

They are family friends. Not firing them. It would also be pretty difficult to find a pediatrician around here that doesn't encourage the shot and also isn't a quack. Not to mention it's pretty great to be able to call them up for advice if there is an issue rather than rush down to the ER.

That's not the point of course, it's a question of if the juice is worth the squeeze and most kids are bouncing right back from covid with minimal problems. If kids somehow start dropping dead left and right from covid, I would entertain the idea of the shot.
 
Yes, natural immunity wanes over time. Not as fast as the vaxx, but it doesn't last forever. The point was they've already had it... they're going to be okay. Not a single kid on this planet got covid, did just fine, got covid again the next year, then nearly died. On the other side of the coin... the vaxx doesn't seem to be completely harmless for healthy young people.

As for the doctor recommending it... thats fine. No problem. No thanks, Kids will be fine. The dr. nagging after that would be what I would have no tolerance for. Fuck right off. I said no.

With all due respect for family friends, they can piss up the same rope my parents did.

Eh... Even my parents bring it up every now and then. Personal preference here, but I'm not willing to build walls just because there are certain things I don't agree with people. We all do just fine agreeing to disagree.

Friends and family you do have full license to fawk with them though.

Throughout this, I've been polite but firm. Now I'm tired. And the politeness is GONE. My routine "No thank you" is turning into a "Go fuck yourself". Deep down in my soul, is this little retarded high school kid that used to love getting punched in the face and having split knuckles. I've done well throughout adulthood keeping that little fuckwad locked in his cage. But after spending the last 2 years politely shaking my head, that kid is waking up.

I'm completley, absolutely, totally over this peer pressure shit. And now I want my old Black Flag t-shirt and a roll of quarters wrapped in tape.

Sorry to come off a little riled up.

I think our experiences are probably different, covid vaccine debates don't get brought up every time we hang out, she only mentions it whenever our kids get a checkup. Hanging out outside of their work, it doesn't get talked about. Sucks that people are leaning on you so much. Good relationships go both ways and you can only do so much before it's time for the other side to also give a little in the grand give and take scheme of things.

It gets fucking old. I tell other to shut the fuck up now when I used to also say no thank you. I point and laugh when I used to be polite. I have been harassed by to many progressives the last 2 years. Dealing with people verbally attacking me that have the mental capacity of a HS hot heads does nothing make me want to meet them on their level. Shits getting old and it’s getting old real quick.

Someone the other day asked me how they were supposed to know the mews was lying to them. I just looked at them for a moment. Shook my head and walked away. My next level response will be something like oh I forgot sheep camt read. My bad.

Yes they go away over time. But what is the time frame your talking about? People who got Sars CoV 1 over 30 years ago still have immunity to Sars CoV 2. The NIH and CDC confirmed this inside of the first 2 months. They knew all about natural immunity from the beginning. And they knew the shots were goos for a year tops despite what Fauchi claimed in the media to begin with.

The problem I see with the Vac movement is the following. Those who were pro vax did nothing but tell the world how they were going to due if they didnt get the vax. They did nothing but tell others that if they dont get the vax they will kill the vaccinated. So many threatened to harm those who didnt want to play the game that many of us took that shit for real and went from concealed carry to open carry.

I’m not saying everyone who believes in the vax is bad at all. But I am saying when I had people trying to prevent me from buying food, threatening to follow me home and teach me a leasson about wearing masks. And other heinous shit that only the left fets to sa without being arrested. Well guess what, I went froma help the person by giving thebshirt off my back to if you have a Democratic sticker on your car I wont piss on it to help put out the fire if someone was trapped inside. We are coming down to the cans and cants. And we will find out real soon who can and who only thought they can and in reality cant.

It’s really fucked that it has come down to this. But Rome is burning and she is going to burn to the ground.
