What's new

Vaccination mandates on the horizon.

Not looking good

My employer, who's been anti-vaxx-mandate so far, is preparing everyone for a vaxx mandate. Apparently there's going to be a list going around soon that you sign if vaxxed or no. All unvaxxed will do weekly testing on their own dime etc. We've been urging everyone vaxxed or no to refuse to sign ANYTHING.

We're estimated 70% unvaxxed. We'll see how this goes.

sounds like my wife's company is heading this way.

They are also dropping company-supplied interwebs after 10 years. employees will be responsible for all charges and fees that occur because of that change... So it seems they are trying to make the employees pay for contract cancelation fees.

But at least on Thursday we'll know, officially, that we have no right to privacy and no right to our bodies... which I think is going to be a very interesting turn of events re: RvW and other rulings.

You may not have to pay out of pocket (directly anyhow). I just found out yesterday (and still need to look into it more) that private insurance is going to be required to cover it:
Home COVID tests to be covered by insurers starting Saturday | AP News

shit rolls downhill.
Which is exactly why I expect the cost of health insurance to increase, if they're forced to do the above.

I just got 2 emails. One stating that they have to start putting in place the mandate. The second is from the ceo stating "the measures coming are not the beginning of a vaccine mandate here at (company). We will continue to respect individuals' rights". So, good I guess. They're also not passing testing costs onto employees.

I'm honestly a little shocked, these are definitely not the ceo's words. Imo. I'm hoping the board and the owners (us basic employees know the owners fairly well, the ceo is new) are pulling the he reigns here.

I would have thought with the SC decision looming, companies would wait & see. But it seems many are full steam ahead.
Insanity I say, with the shortage of viable employees these days.

i think its the threat of fines.

Last i check my employer was giving us the choice of vaccine or test. I doubt its changed any, altho im stuck home quarantining until next Tuesday at the earliest so i guess ill find out then.

My wife's grandma fell at her assisted living facility and died Sunday of brain bleeding from the fall and had COVID listed as a secondary cause of death:mad3:. My MIL is fighting that. They originally had it listed as COVID but changed it after much bitching.
Gawd that is so irritating. I just can't fathom why so many people are following this craziness.

I see 2 options going forward at my work...

1- they stick with it, 100% follow the rules, all the 30+yr guys retire, others are constantly off work because not enough tests, place closes because we can't run under 90% show up

2- they go through a week/month of number 1, decide to fudge paperwork and turn blind eyes to keep the doors open.

#2 kicks the can down the road. #1 and we're doing Mad Max shit before this year's over.

No kidding. What kind of retarded affirmative action hires are making these anti-business decisions?
A friend of mine works for a huge manufacturer that has gone woke. He’s been complaining for years about them checking boxes to get all the right people in to fill in the diversity bingo card. It’s been a disaster. Massive turnover in management, moral and profits in the toilet. Now he says they are creating new positions and promoting these people into those rolls so they can put qualified people where they need to be. He says it’s blatantly obvious from the inside what they are doing.

The 6th lifted the stay. OSHA says you have to make good faith effort to start complying. That means you need to start determining vax status. It’s bullshit.

Threat of fines. The fines are going to be astronomical. Like, fuck your shareholder.... we're closing the doors kind of fines.

This.

Government will absolutely make it clear that no one may engage in commerce w/o the express, written consent of the government.

#3 OSHA never enforces it. I read they will randomly check like 5% of businesses and rely the rest on employee complaints. The ETS is only valid for 6months.

There's no way they have the bandwidth to enforce this mess, they can't even enforce what's on the books now.

I'm honestly more nervous if they do stay this standard or strike it down and it gets sent to Congress to make a law like they were saying was the alternative. In clown world overdrive I could see that passing pretty easily when big pharma makes it rain even harder with the shit stains running this dumpster fire country.

Is the FDA approved Comirnaty in circulation and even being used yet?

They're still referencing the emergency use versions ('Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine' is the emergency use vax name if that isn't sneaky enough) and expanding the application of those emergency uses just a couple days ago.

You would think once an FDA approved version came out anything offered under a emergency use authorization would no longer be valid. But a lot of this makes me believe everything they're doing is still under the EUA, or at least the stuff they're shooting your kids up with.

Way too close to an election for that to pass. I don't think there is any kind of appetite from congress to do it. Otherwise he wouldn't have done the "workaround'

Word is…No decision today I guess, they released another decision but not on this and probably would be
waiting until we head into the weekend... announce late tomorrow. We all find out on monday?
