Btw the only way I would go on a irate UA is if you are co driving for the snail trail dudes making fun of his axle the whole time:lmao::flipoff2:

Said dude would probably try to explain me how to drive my rockbouncer.
I'm only so patient...

Weird, hold on. Let me see what’s wrong

I had to click the link and make sure it was "added" to my google drive. Then leave the link and go back to the drive.google.com home page and navigate to "shared folders" and they're all there

Awesome, Thanks for Sharing!!!!!!

So it’s working for all of you or do I need to figure something else out?

Yeah but can we trailer from park to park or do we gotta drive like UA?
When we discussed setting up a similar UA style trip on a regional forum, once we got to specifics of driving vs trailering, the discussion stopped as no one could agree.

Well then, there has to be two groups obviously:laughing:

I would be down once my rig is finished, but i want to be in the trailered group:cool2:

That was my thinking too.

Divide groups into Trailer and Street. Then have different trails with some bypasses for Street group but no bypasses for Trailer group.

:laughing:here we go
Has to be fullsize friendly :homer:
But obviously still hardcore and i think that is the part that could put me out...
I’m sure some of those things could be arranged, unless it’s wet somewhere in the southeast or PNW areas.

As a southeastern :homer:, you could do a trip to Harlan (UA 15’?) , Windrock (UA 22’), Adventure Offroad Park (UA 15’?), Hawk Pride (UA 22’), Stony Lonesome, and Choccolocco Mountain for some very diverse wheeling terrain as well as great road trip drives.

Since we are talking wheeling, the club I belong to will be holding private event at Field & Forest in Harrisville, NH the weekend of August 4-6. Space is limited but we could probably fit 20 Irates, give or take. The venue is best for buggies on comp tires. Will post a formal invite on here next spring but anybody interested in making the trip can mark their calendars now.

I’ve always wanted to get a big group of locals to run Fordyce end to end then up to Tahoe for Rubicon end to end in a week.
I think 2016 was a hell of a UA. If I went in 2016 I would have been bummed because those are on my side of the country and I’ve run them multiple times but for someone east of the Rockies that’s a great trip.

Only way to make it better was add in a hammer trail before Isham canyon, then up to the rubicon/fordyce

How far apart are some of these places? Aside from seeing some old UA footage I'm not familiar with any of them.

Just thinking out loud here, but even Big Dogs in VA was a 6hr drive on the trailer, and it looks like Harlan is 10 hours from here. I'd have to tow at least part of the way due to fuel costs alone.

I’m centrally located an hour south of Nashville so they are all within a 6 hour radius.

Harlan = 5 hours.
Windrock = 3 hours.
Adventure = 1.5 hours.
Stony & Hawk Pride = 2.5 hours.
Choccolocco = 3.5 hours.

So if you started at Harlan and ended at Choccolocco (or vice versa) they are all within roughly 2 hours or less from one another. Harlan and Choccolocco are 6 hours apart.

How fun would it be to turn it into a poker run with teams of 5-10 rigs?
Go through all the designated trails in the parks and at the end of all the parks, see which team has more cards... I've never done one because I've never been interested, but this is my kind of run:laughing:

Basically that's how european winch challenges events work.

You got 48h to run as many trails as you can. They all have a certain point value.

You are completely free to do whatever your want during those 48h. Sleep, eat, wrench, or drive. Only condition is that you cannot get help from anyone other than a fellow competitor.

The best teams will drive straight up for those 48h. Non stop.

If you completed all the trails, you are allowed to drive them backwards and keep racking points up.

Instead of cards, you need to take a picture of your rig in the middle of said trail, next to a designated marker.

Lol probably!

Who knows, it's one of the pitfalls of being the safety douche.

Did anyone ever do the team truck challenges in tillamock Oregon back in late 90 thru 2000s. Wicked fun events. 36 hours of find as many check points as possible in pairs of truck and 4 people.
