Ultimate Adventure 2022

I've watched the first 4 episodes. The videos from 2022 made it look fun. Still too many rigs for my taste.

That Toyota with the IFS should never have been allowed on the trip. There were probably much better applicants than that rig.

It made all the obstacles though. :flipoff2::laughing:

So with no magazines now as of Feb 23 what will the UA become?

The magazines sort of exist as online things. They still have staff I don’t know how much they write and when I say staff, I think they have one editor and one writer. It may be a part-time thing.

I remember watching some briefly in the past, and it was stupid hot or something one year. They must have gone in July or August. FAWK that. It seems like they must have gone in late September this year? It looked cool early a few mornings based on people wearing hoodies etc, but the leaves were not quite changing yet.
the 4runner or the tacoma?
the 4runner wasn't that guys primary submission... he just happened to include a picture of it and that's what the UA team decided they wanted.

edit: Beat95yj beat me to it

Edit 2: y’all seem to forgot the mags built an ifs f150 as the UA vehicle a number of years ago.

Yes but full size F150 CVs are far stronger than a 4runner.

Belongs to Ryan Broome who is a past UA reader/attendee. He was there as a trail guide of sorts as he is from the area.

They did an article on Ryan Broome's flatfender. I dig it, I'd like to set one up similar.

We are planning on doing something similar to the UA this Fall in the Midwest. Nothing is for sure yet but trying to get it rolling. Will be driving or trailering rigs between places. Anyone on IBB is welcome with any type of rig. Input on ideas are welcome.

You might have to sign up to be a member of the midwest group to see it, but I think anyone can join.

Gawd I hope so...:smokin:
Agreed. This years content was better... but they used to create hours worth of video for TTC, which had limited trails/events and contestants. I would think you could get alot more content from a week of 30+ rigs wheeling and riding around. I would even suggest showing more carnage and breaks to "add drama" to the storyline. I think they missed the boat with "trail of the dragon" this yr. Its cool they rode it, but the coverage was pretty lame.

It could possibly lead to more "sponsors" but having more "influencers" be there and capturing and posting footage will only help.

If you trailer rigs from place to place, you are gonna miss 97% of what UA is about. and 73% of the fun. If trailers are allowed....it's like a mediocre adventure, or just a plain ol wheeling trip.

Not completely true though... allowing trailers opens it up to far more participants. If you can find a group of 20-30 people that can actually run their trail rigs on the road for possibly 1500 or more miles, then you'll have me surprised. I'll be more surprised if you have more then 10 that commit and show up:flipoff2:

(10) the top of the acceptable amount of rigs I want to deal with at one time....:flipoff2: screw rerunning the distance to claim a towpig.
drive that shit

Find 10 to show up, are road worthy for 1500+ road miles in a week, and like i said before I'd be surprised
