Its literally in the report as to why they are not charging him. Trump should and will use that phrasing a lot in the near future I'm sure.

I have a hard time getting worked up over either because way to much shit is classified that shouldn't be and this seems like the kind of thing everyone in Washington apparently does.

I still have doubts that what Trump had was even still classified. Given how the raid was done, any evidence collected is completely suspect.

I could see if they got permission to remove certain docs for display at their eventual Presidential Library, but I get the impression these guys are just taking them to have them. I seriously doubt Trump or Biden sit down in front of the fireplace with a snifter of brandy and read them.Biden classified documents report out. They would recommend no charges for him regardless of him being president.

There's a BUNCH of difference twixt someone that tells the FBI to check his house for possible docs and a couple 20 yr old docs are found vs. someone that denies having them, says he has the ability to declassify sans going thru the protocol so they aren't classified any longer, and gets all buthurt in social media when the Secret service allows the FBI to enter with requisite search warrant and they find...how many docs including serious IT CANT be declassified docs? Yep same deal strictly a political witch hunt...Biden classified documents report out. They would recommend no charges for him regardless of him being president.

Nope, had Trump done the same thing as Biden and turned the docs he had over immediately I would have the same attitude towards the man...but he didnt. Trump took it to a scenario up to and including attempts by his underlings to destroy evidence that puts him in court with the possibility of jail time. Those are hard facts...
BTW I voted none of the above for Pres in the Hilary v. Trump and Biden v. Trump elections so don't go saying koolaid BS it don't hunt.

There is. But the special counsel's reason for not charging Biden comes pretty damn close to flat out arguing that he's mentally unfit to stand trial. I'm no Trump defender. Hell, I think he's a POS. But the difference between the way he is treated by the media and the legal system vs. how Biden is treated by the same institutions is pretty damn eye opening.

Even if it is, that reads like he ordered it declassified and whatever the process is didn't happen and Trump showed what should have been a declassified document to an author. Even if he committed a crime on a technicality the intent clearly was to follow the proper legal process. That's a hell of a difference from stealing and distributing classified information.@rocdoc, since you somehow made that post unquotable

The end of the Trump administration was an absolute shitshow of rats trying to distance themselves from Trump as fast as they possibly could. Wouldn't surprise me at all that the process was just never finished because they cared more about getting out of there than finishing the process.
