Wouldn’t Rubio need to move out of Florida?
12A says so.
The Twelfth Amendment stipulates that each elector must cast distinct votes for president and vice president, instead of two votes for president. The amendment adapts the provision from the original Article II text that forbids an elector from casting both their presidential votes for inhabitants of their own state; under the Twelfth Amendment, one of the votes an elector casts—either their vote for president or their vote for vice-president—must be for someone who resides in a state other than the one where that elector lives. The upshot of this rule is that presidential candidates have refrained from selecting a running mate who lives in the same state that they do, lest they risk losing either the presidential or vice presidential votes from electors from their shared home state. For instance, at the beginning of 2000, Dick Cheney and George W. Bush were both legally residents of Texas; but, in preparation for being nominated as Bush's running mate, Cheney changed his legal residence to Wyoming, where he owned a home and which he had previously represented in Congress.[21]
Alot of digital ink has been spilled here about how bad Tulsi would be. I don't buy it. I think her and I would always have disagreements on policy, but I actually believe that she is willing to change her views based on new information, and she's definitely been done wrong by "her side" which I believe opened her up to plenty of new ideas.Tulsi would be my #1, Vivek my #2.

Would you take her over Potato? The problem with VPs is that they can become presidents. And while I like Tulsi, I sure as heck don't want her in the presidency.
I would be very happy with him picking Vivek.Prediction:
Its going to come out that Trump changed his VP pick between today and last Friday. He has political capital to spend now, he strikes me as someone who isn't afraid to spend it.
I'll bet it was Burgum or Scott on Friday. Probably Vance or Vivek today.
BOLD PREDICTION™: It's going to be Tulsi (very dark horse, Joe Manchin) as a "unity" pick and showing that he's willing to "take down the temperature" and pick someone who isn't an R.
Would you take her over Potato?
Keep your friends close and something about your enemies?Hillary.
Agreed, but I truly believe that we actually do need some “reach across the aisle” unity right now, and Trump is pragmatic. It’s as close to touching the liberal hot stove as you can get without getting a D.She is far saner than the people who dictate policy these days, but there are countless better choices out there for VP.
I also don't get the impression that she would bring many democrat voters over. I suspect they see her the way we saw McCain.
I could see him picking Vivek just because that would get alot of people's panties in a bunch, and Trump seems to be good at that.

I will say that semi-rural Ds I know secretly love her as she’s as close to a Kennedy Democrat that exist these days. A bunch would have pulled the trigger on RFK had they not knee-capped him. They just want to vote for a D like their daddy’s did. Most won’t show up this fall because of Potato Joe
Maybe, but the math changed 2 days ago. Who’s gonna overshadow this?Trump won't pick anyone he can't overshadow. Pence was selected for that reason.
