Donk and plym49.2 here is an industry article discussing the building of the first CF tube: Composite submersibles: Under pressure in deep, deep waters

It says "nothing" will penetrate the tube.
So did those RAM computer mounts not attach to the inner hull?

O

Sure looks like they did to me.
If they were nuts, I could see something like a ClickBond fastener, but it sure looked like screws into the tube to me.

I watched some of that vlog above of the kid that tried to go on it. It really looks like there is a inner carbon tube of a smaller diameter that got the mounts attached to it. There are hand rails etc. Screwed to the roof and what looks like LED strips behind the glass for mood lighting...

But I could be wrong.

Yeah I see a mesh liner with the top grab rail and lights behind it.

But I also see external welds to the titanium end-tanks and them shutting down a 3000ft dive because of fog on the surface (just ignore the communications not working at all).

I keep seeing people referring to “billionaires”. Why? Haven’t seen any confirmation of that. Any “run of the mill” millionaire could afford 250 grand.

I read that the wife of the "billionaire" was supposed to be on the sub originally, but let her son go instead. Could you imagine living with that guilt the rest of your life?

“I miss them,” Christine Dawood told BBC. “I really, really miss them.”

Also shocking was the revelation that Christine was initially set to board the OceanGate submersible alongside her husband to tour the Titanic wreckage years earlier, but that expedition was postponed due to Covid-19.

When it came time for the Titanic expedition to take place, Christine ultimately “stepped back” so her and Shahzada’s 19-year-old son could go instead.

“Then I stepped back and gave them space to set Suleman up, because he really wanted to go,” she said.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Shahzada and Suleman Dawood were two of the five victims who tragically passed away when the OceanGate Titan submersible suffered a “catastrophic implosion” approximately 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic.
