Things you have found on the side of the road.

Nothing for me lately but snow snake season is about to start so I'll be picking up all I find.

huh, must be yer yankee translation lost as well? I was gunna guess tarp strap, not many ’stension cords rogue here, even in town, with them hanging eherywar onna trees n shit over sidewalks ass per fifes bylaws

I would tell you the things I have found but it is too disturbing and disgusting.
 
I found these tools on three different occasions.

I found a nice big pair of water pump pliers yesterday morning, craftsman, maybe 13" size or so

I have one friend that gets a kick out of using a sharpie or paint pen and writing "roadkill" on any tools he finds, then gives them away as needed

I have another friend who was a repo man and wound up with buckets of cheap ish tools. He'd give them away like candy, he'd give them to somebody with a hood up in a parking lot. He called them "Obama tools " I don't know why it was so fucking funny to me but 6'4" repo Ed had his own little wealth redistribution program running:laughing::laughing:
 
I need to remember to post my latest find.

It is a pimptastic high end furniture dolly, aluminum has the drop down wheels for using it on a 45 angle.

I am going to guess it was $500 new.

It was sitting in the median by my office, must have fallen off a truck onto the road and someone moved it to the median.

Edit added pic, pretty sweet imo I got my harbor freight one stolen from me 2 years ago so been wishing another would enter my life

I found a old dead guy in a car. Anyone else ever find a dead person?

The second most memorable thing I found was a box of a few dozen girls jeans. Must of fell off delivery truck. I called the store they were supposed to be shipped to but they had NO interest in them. Was 2 pair of every size which I distributed throughout my family. They wore them for a long time and were known as the ditch jeans.

Yeah, found a Mexican guy that had been executed (shot between the eyes with his hands tied). He was about 30 yards off the road behind some trees.

I think I already posted this, but I found a guy that evidently didn't pay his drug bill when he got out of jail or rehab
they pushed him out going down Interstate 5
That woke me up when my headlights hit him at 5am
 
I found the dementia neighbor just wondering along the road 10 miles down the road

I drove by him doing errands, and thought it looked like him
Went way out of my way after doing my things in town, drove down the same road again just to be sure....Sure as shit, that was the neighbor. I stopped and picked him up, it was dark, cold and raining.

He was at the stage where he would drive his car to the store, and either can't find his car, or can't figure out how to turn it back on.
I got him back in his house and called his kids in California. He/She ended up picking him up and taking him to a care facility

Found one at work. Not good.

Saw a weird sliver of light in the ditch around midnight on deserted 4 lane road in north Iowa. Seemed odd so I pulled to a stop and backed up the 1/2 mile or so in the dark:homer:. Pointed the headlight of the truck towards the light and got out. Realized there was a car laying upside down on top of a fence where the ditch meets the cornfield. I pondered what to do as the roof was crushed in......Eventually, I yelled out asking if anyone was inside. No response, so I yelled again. Finally heard some rustling in the car and out crawled 2 young men. There was just enough room to fit thru the blown out windows. They walked up to me and stood there in silence looking at their car sipping out of a mug of coffee (presumably). After a minute, an SUV drove by and slammed on the brakes down the road. I informed them to get rid of anything in the car as that passerby was calling the cops. They looked at me:homer: and ran to the car:lmao:. The SUV backed up as they crawled inside rummaging around. A couple minutes later, a cop was on scene. He talked to the SUV and then tried to stop me. I headed to my truck and told him I just happened across the vehicle. He argued thinking I had something to do with this and tried to get me to stay but I noped out of there. I wasn't a fan of cops and always had a few Miller High Lifes while driving thru Northern Iowa so I certainly was NOT sticking around.
