Well checked in with the coffee shop in town that is selling my trees. They have sold 3 out of the 6 I gave them. So thats not a bad as I expected.

Mushroom are interesting. While they sell. If you do them just wrong or right depending on perspective they look like dicks.

Still need some more practice but did this while Jr. took a nap. Its in a log at about 30”. I could cut it in half and bang one out on the other side as well.

I do use some dremel work as well as a die grinder and a finger sander. But still 95% chainsaw.

Here is my latest attempt as a small owl in a log.

Still a work in progress. I think I will continue on with owls in logs but also want to start on Sasquatch. Those will fuck smoke in my town.

Ok got the latest one sanded down and cleaned up.

It almost fits perfectly in a flat rate box. Very slight bulge. Will take it down to the post office monday and see if it flys.

First attempt at a full bodied owl. About became firewood twice. Then when I got somewhat happy with it I forgot to leave room for the feet. Either way here is a partial fail for you guys.

Well sold 6 of my trees at the coffee shop and dropped off 3 more this morning. She likes them to decorate her shop and they sell. Need to get a few more owls in logs made so I can start selling those as well. Going to carve a bit today since its going to be hot as balls tomorrow for the next week or so. Fuck 100+ degree weather on the west side. 109 is forecasted for us Monday and Tuesday. And we usually add 5-10 degrees in summer.

Sanded the tan off of it and its not as bad... Think its the big round animal eyes that are killing it. Might revisit this piece when it cools off. Sand the eyes flat shape the top of the head, helmet level a but more and maybe try and shape the jaw line a bit. Or might reburn it and sell it as bigfoot the viking
