Thefishguy77’s attempt at chainsaw art...

Worked on Downy a bit. No salmon carving today. Had to much shit to get done first.

Thats old school
We are taking it to the next level
Combo of both it probably best. That and just good cedar. Want to see if my S.I.L. Can bring me up some redwood to carve. She has some friends that cut and work in the mills. Might be fun to have that as well.
Going to get an airbrush setup for some of the detail work. Painted carvings seem to go for a lot more money than torched. Dont know why.

painted carvings are more 'art'

For the same reason the neighbor guy welds horseshoe's and ball bearings together and takes them to the some sore of recycled art show every year and makes like 8 grand

I don't understand it one bit, but I'd love to get in on the "globbing scrap metal together into an eyesore" racket

You have inspired me. I’m going to go cut a tree down on my buddies land and carve the stump into a five-ish foot tall dick. Unsure what to use for balls

Make it an asian dick and skinny out the shaft a bit leaving room to set the balls. Friend of mine wants me to carve this so he can go set it like one of that randomly appearing art sculptures

Are you that asshole up the street pegging his chain saw all fucking day long? :flipoff:

Only if you’re that whining **** down the block:flipoff2:

I am on 10 acres with 2 full time neighbors if they dont like the saw they definitely dont like the roosters from 4am-8pm. 1 part time neighbor hates the roosters so I kept an extra 4 for about 6 months.:lmao: They are getting butchered this friday for Saturday BBQ.

Going to grab a mini belt sander to help with shaping some finer details. Need to get an electric die grinder so I can get some eyeball bits and stuff to add realism.

With me trying to make my chainsaw carving hobby a side hustle I figure I either need to sign or brand my work. I like the idea of a brand burned into the carving somewhere, bottom or back type locations. Anybody make them? Know of a good place that makes them? I could fairly easily come up with a design that works. Basically my name type deal. Whats ya got?
