tangent covid thought about going out too soon

In California at least, there's always that weird social stigma of not wearing a mask when it's mandated that would probably lead to a ton of explaining everywhere you go: "I have a lung problem and can't wear a mask", etc. One of my good friends dealt with the reverse of that pre-covid. She had cystic fibrosis and had to wear a N95 mask everywhere she went, avoid touching surfaces in public places, big crowds, etc. She got a ton of weird looks everywhere she wore a mask, and sometimes had to explain why she did that or was acting like such a germaphobe. It got pretty exhausting, so when my wife and I would hang out with here, we'd take up the torch of telling people giving her the stink eye what was going on.

My point? Sucks you have a lung issue. You shouldn't have to wear a mask, and in a perfect society, people wouldn't question you for not doing it. People should be a little more considerate of others, both in not wearing a mask, an in knowing some people are more worried about COVID due to physical ailments that you might not be able to see.

I am my own employer. This is a requirement on a project i won the bid on. I've done tons of work in this very facility, in these very same areas. Never before have i had to wear one, now because of covid i must. Usually i wouldn't be on site, but it's busy, labor isn't very easy to find, and my site super wanted to stay on the projects he is running to keep them on track(though i can adapt to any project far quicker than he). It is irrelevant at this point to worry about fixing the situation, i finished it. I'm just now finding out the affects the mask has had on my health. I can say this, i an finished with masks, unless it is for my business. It sucks that i can get deathly Ill over it, but i have builds to pay and won't be able to do that very well from hell:laughing: If a business doesn't allow me in without one, I'll just go to the next. Someone will serve me.
I just can't wait until all the discrimination suits come out over this. It is blatant and seems like it's only a matter of time imo

I personally know 7 people that have gotten it. All of them wear masks and such and none of them had anything but a bad cold for the first couple days. One of them even was a woman who had a head attack in past AND is a smoker but same effect to her as the 30yr old active people i know who got it.

They're lucky. I had it bad and my FIL died from it right around the same time.

That said, I never stopped living my life. I'd rather be sick a few weeks than give up a year of living like so many others have. Losing the FIL sucked bad though for the whole family.

If you have symptoms or are scared do you, otherwise everyone should be business as normal.

Hey dumbass. Where did I say you had to wear a mask? I also don't remember posting in the Appalachian thread? :confused: Did you have a stroke or something?
