Superduty 60 passenger side drop

A friend of mine had TK1 Racing out of Lincoln, CA do his axle for him. It’s a 2007 Ford SD swapped to passenger drop. I’ll ask him for the specifics on how they did it

He said they cut the tubes, sleeved it, then welded back together. Then he used a Barnes truss and flipped it to make it work. They MIG welded the axle and his did the same on the truss. Also he used stock knuckles and had them machined for steering arms, with ball joint eliminators.

What polarity did you run? Also, what size rod and how many amps?
I followed that guide dc- i believe. First i used 55% nickel 3/32 rod at 110amps, then I used 60% nickel 1/8 rod at 120.

Thanks, yea looking at it again the other night i figure that out. I can see where they cut the cast back and spliced it.

Truss is coming along. Fucked some shit up as usual, but it is what it is and it's fairly straight. Ran out of Nickel rod again, getting the hang of this stuff. Gone through 3.2 lbs so far. Jana 76 kit is here and the gears will show up soon.

holy jesus lots of steel... :)
Yep lol but it will create so much lift that it wont matter, like an unlimited hydroplane:lmao: Aside from my fuck ups, It's mostly 3/16ths, only the front is 3/8ths. You think you dont like it now, but wait till it's done :grinpimp:

Few update pics. Truss/armor/spring perch/ram mount finished. Next step is to sleeve the truss for U-bolts to pass through. The passenger side will get one U bolt and a couple studs. Width is 67.5 wms to wms, spring perches 32.5 appart.

Just finished one up this weekend as well to replace a kp chevy 60.

Did you just swap sides or did you try to put the diff in the same spot as the KP axle?

I'm thinking about doing the same on my project and I do like the idea of using stock length shafts, but also I like the idea of putting the diff where it fits better.

Customer wanted to use 1550 of the shelf shafts.
