I try not to be a judgmental ass, try, emphasis on try.

Pumping gas, I had my back to this and I heard the creaky ball joints and/or tie rod ends as it pulled in. I turned to see what was about to fall apart and was greeted with this glorious Trailblazer.

Who needs ball joints when you've got light bars? And your eyes are not deceiving you, that is an ATV fair lead self-tapped off-center to the front bumper. No winch, just a fair lead and a hook. I think the blue butt connectors for the front light bar really compliment the Chevy bowtie.

OMG!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!

I always wondered how the 'poser' mind worked.

How could you you just want the 'winch look'

Prior to this I have seen a couple of ATV winches mounted to bumpers on 1/4 ton trucks and some Jeeps and thought that was as 'poser' as you could get

Saw a lady with a 2ish year-old riding one of these down the highway today (random internet pic):

Seems on par with all the other ****y shit cyclists do. I found one on a highway with no shoulder last weekend, riding the white line because there was nowhere else to be, except for maybe on the fucking paved bike trail 30 feet to his right. No, too spandex warrior for that, lets ride on a narrow 50mph highway instead.

Gotta love the bicyclists/runners who choose to be on the side of the road with no shoulder during rush hour... I'm sure that there are other places you could be riding/running.

I've seen a family of 5 Canadians on bikes about half way down Baja. The youngest kid looked about 6. I wouldn't ride a bicycle down that highway let alone my kids (if I had any).

Boiler at my sister's place. Recirc motor wired for years with no wire nuts, tape, nothing. Somehow. Ever shorted under its metal cover. Bearing oilers on the bottom. Even says right on the motor in case it wasn't obvious anyway.

A friend of mine had a samurai back in the 90's before they were cool. Bone stock, hacked fenders, and 30x9.50 swampers. ATV winch worked great, would have to use the snatch block a few times it got completely buried.

I have seen them on new 4 door Jeeps

That is not the same.

I have an ATV winch on my Tracker, makes sense there.

I put a free 2000lb atv winch on my SJ410. The one time I needed it, it worked. My SJ410 weighs less than 2000lbs but I had a snatch block too. Why add extra weight to a rig I am trying to keep light.

Now even if that Trailblazer actually had a winch behind that fairlead by the time you added enough snatch blocks you would have more money and weight than an appropriate HF winch. Then you would only be able to make 5ft pulls because of all the snatch blocks. :flipoff2:

Yea, when you said "1/4 ton trucks and jeeps" I'm thinking 80's S10 or CJ5.

4 door JK is basically a suburban. Would be useless in that situation.

I used to see a Scout 2 with a tiny ATV winch on the front, good for a laugh every time.
I wore out 1 of these that I traded for by using a double snatchblock setup to pick up cars with a homemade wrecker setup. It's not much bigger than an ATV winch. Nobody could see it in the bed of the truck though.:homer::flipoff2:
