Street Outlaws NPK season 6 WTF

I am wondering if a new show/series of some sort is in the works with Cleetus building his new car. I could see him and Swanstrom getting together to make something happen.

Cleetus and Victor are business partners behind the scenes. I caught cleetus saying something about not having to build a wicked import because he can grab victors car and Victor doesn't need to build an American car because he can run cleetus's cars etc. I think the only thing they don't have is a big tire car. Radials are faster but big fat sloppy slicks get down in way more conditions so if they wanna play the no prep game something needs 34 or 36" slicks.

If I remember correctly the big tire would fit the chassis but the rear quarters would have to change. I may have that wrong though.

Victor owns a ProMod Camaro now. He mentioned it on the Cooper Spaghetti podcast the other day.

The series is still going.

I ate lunch with Shawn Wilhoit the other day and asked him what he thought about it.
He said Time Warner wanted nothing to do with anything that risky so they punted the series.
He also said that its way too much race car now and not even possible for a "normal self employed business owner to even participate" specifically taking 2 months straight off work and spending $10k-$25k a weekend to be competitive.

The cars they run now are just Pro Mods with normal steel roof/quarter bodies.
Procharged/Proline Hemis or scew blowers.

Wilhoit raced his nova in Limpy's cash days last weekend in DFW. I watch a bunch of street racing and those fags from Street Outlaws don't show up for any of those races. Nobody is stopping them from Street racing like they say they want to do......

Chuck from SO was at YB a few weekends ago for that race I told you about driving a small tire Mustang.

Hard to say, unfortunately guys building cars like Eagle is how this shit gets fucked up in the first place.:stirthepot:

Cleetus car was built "only" for small tires so that is a pretty big diferentiator from everything normal.
The Bear Shit NAtionals at XRP the other day was pretty awesome, raced for $100k and Swanstrom and Fletcher Cox raced for a $100k side bet in the semi finals.

100k side bet? I feel the poors now. But that really highlights just how much money it takes to race at that level. I'd love to see the financials, probably raise all the eyebrows.

Mike Finnegan has a recent video up from a no prep elite or whatever interview some drivers. It's a good watch and they touch on this. You can see on there faces and hear they all think it's out of control but no one wants to bitch out

Cleetus's new car is a fucking work of art. He's not fucking up a class with that car he's just joining the group. Radial cars are all 3/4 million dollar cars if they are competitive and his car is just another in a sea of them.
Absolutely

That must have been where I heard it.

Now all they need is to re body that promod and run it with big tire classes. :smokin:

Big tire racing is ghey unless it's top fuel or the outlaw stuff. Small tire cars are so fast now that if you have a big tire car you better be running mid 3s or a small tire car is going to eat you up.

Probably because the fags from street outlaws are too busy running like a chicken with their heads cut off keeping up with all the npk shit. The schedule is pretty brutal but it pays. Murder Nova has been building cars to do drag and drive, burnout competitions and the OG was converted to small tires. They're setting it up to stay busy once npk collapses.

Go do that on the street. Big tires rule on shit roads for a big floppy reason.

Ryan Mitchel, with the small tire Firebird on YouTube, says you're wrong. He double enters his car in big and small tire classes all the time and almost never swaps tires between classes and usually wins. :smokin:

Also, watch the latest Petey Smallblock video where he spanks a big tire car at a track that's exactly like a regular street and has shit traction and dust all over it.

I avoided that vid from Finnegan cuz I'm really sick of listening to that dude talk, but maybe I should give it a watch.

Saw this on the book face

yeah, it sucks now. Nothing street about them cars. Id rather watch low budget guys trying to get it done.

I just thought it weird they were and to still use it. Maybe they were paying to use it.

That's all they have left. Lose that name and those guys just become another drag racing series like the PDRA, NMRA, X275, NMCA ect that get no TV coverage and limited fan attendance. Those guys are putting a ton of money and faith in the NPK thing continuing. If that deal folds those guys are all stuck with cars that only fit in Pro Mod classes but wouldn't be competitive because of the stock WB, roof and quarters thing they have to stick to.

Chuck is at World Cup finals this weekend running his small tire Mustang and ripping off 6.71 @ 2teen mile an hour 1/4 mile passes. Birdman chutes ripped off when they deployed at the end of his second qualifying attempt and he ended up rolling the car over. He is ok, car not so much.
