I carry a paper in my wallet from a doctor that says I really do have PTSD
most people know smoke is great for PTSD
never have had to show an officer the note..

it's not legal in Tx still...

the question I have,.. in states where its legal medicinally, does medicaid pay for it.. I spend too much a month, as it is..

No Medicaid doesn’t pay for weed. It’s still illegal federally.

Yep, there are some other things in there that are far more potent. Sadly because of restrictions, we haven't been able to do any really in depth metabolite or functional studies with the devil's lettuce. There are a lot of discoveries to be made in those plants and we're just waiting to be allowed to do it.

My friend doesn’t grow for quantity. He grows for rich people that want the best herb that they can get.

What's it's name?
Show us some lab reports. I'd like to see how they fare against some of the commercial stuff around here.
 
I want to see a lab that does something other than a bullshit analysis on the cheapest POS HPLC with UV detector they can find on alibaba. I do some CBD analysis for a couple of places and they were shocked to find out just how many impurities I was finding.

Not sure on that strain. He grows 4 to 5 different ones at a time. It varies regularly. He is the furthest thing from a quantity/commercial grower. He spends half the day trimming and half the day watering. He hand waters every plant by feel. The water is even heated. Anything under 68 degrees will cause the leaves to develop small cracks.

It's obviously his trade, and he is a craftsman if he is doing what you say he is. I admire that, no matter the craft.

I've thought about it, and would far rather grow a little of the bomb then a lot of the mediocre. He is probably growing strains that only produce a small amount(in relativity) of herb, but can price it high because most people have never had anything near the caliber.
Commercial store bought garbage is just that, commercial store bought. Maybe in a few years when our commercial growers catch up to Cali and Colo, the store bought will be better. They can only have a certain percentage of thc though, and most strains are about the same in the stores I've been in. Mid 20% range...

Correct. He’s not getting 10 pound plants like the outdoor Cali growers for sure. He’s been doing it for about 10 years now. I’m gonna go see him again soon.

You are in for a big disappointment.

The legal weed shops have trash. Even the most expensive, highest THC content weed they offer is pure and utter crap compared to the real deal shit from the 90s.
Every strain you try, it's all the same dried up bullshit. It all smells like mold.

The old school shit is gone forever. It was bright green. It was sticky. You could press it against a car window and it would stay there. It would smell like real deal skunk. Super skunky. It didn't have all the stupid orange and red hairs nobody cares about. It was just pure bright bright neon green. And it looked like it was dipped in sugar, with the little glands glistening all over. It was soft to the touch and "doughy". When you pulled a bud apart, it was not porous like all the crap these days. It was squishy yet solid, and thick throughout the middle of it. You took a hit and it tasted so good, and then it expanded in your lungs and you had a fit coughing over and over.

The crap you get these days is dry and has a ton of airspace in the middle of it. It's overdried, yet mildewy. You take a hit and it tastes like shit, does not expand, and you only cough due to the harshness of it.


Or maybe, just maybe, there may exist a strain like what I used to get back in the 90s. If anyone that's knowledgeable reads this and knows exactly what I'm talking about above, and if a strain does exist today to match what I'm talking about, please tell me what it is.

No, none of you know a special strain, or a special someone.

Maybe you are getting crap weed, but weed is a well-known plant with well-established parameters. Cannibinoids lie on a spectrum and they're pretty much all the same, there is no Special Strain, there is no special drug inside.

Edit for being nice. Thank you for participating in my thread, but I don't believe you. Plenty of weed research out there.

I'm not saying anything about my past, but I don't really want a big ol' Bag O' Weed around. Because I might smoke it straight through and zombify myself. I'm glad it's legal because I can buy a tiny amount and then it's not up in my cupboard anymore. I guess that's a form of addiction but I'm ok with it. I can leave several half bottles of booze around for weeks at a time without drinking so it seems I am more weed-addicted than alcohol-addicted, even though I drink a good amount.
