Russia / Ukraine thread

Here is a website I thought I posted a while back in this thread, but I dont see it. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's interesting to mess around with. Looks like the fallout would go straight across to Russia:

Good, I think
Fuck that antigun cuck

The question I have is why is Putin letting so many Russian die? They have shown in training and other theaters -even in East Ukraine in the previous years- that should be way more efficient, more informed, more prepared with better logistics.

What is the end game here? Just provoking the West to jump in? It feels like Russia is using only like 30% of what they could be doing...
History man, history. There has always been an abundance of Russian people. Josef Stalin killed more of his own people than the Nazis killed Jews. Russian people are a resource and a plague to Russian leadership. There has historically been so many that they don't know what to do with them. Nazino Island, they threw 6000 ppl on that island to actually eat each other. Gulags, drop people off in Siberia and tell them to build or die. Leningrad, every other person gets a gun, the others get one magazine of bullets and run into German machine guns. If they turned around or hesitated, they were shot in the head by their own people. These were not trained soldiers just like the ones we are seeing now in UKR. History repeats itself and RUS citizens have not and do not mean jack shit to the ruling class.

Currently, the death rate is higher than the newborn rate. (Has nothing to do with the war)

According to the vid that I reposted a page or two back, Russia is in population decline, and has been for awhile now.

This is just IMHO, which I know doesn't count for shit, but having been just watching this unfold without actually looking hard at it ...... It all seems surreal.
So Russia invades Ukraine.
Then we see all these headlines
" Russia seizes Ukraine Nuke plant"
"Missiles land in Ukraine"
"People die and get hurt in Ukraine fighting"
"Convoy of Russian tanks spotted in Ukraine"

And people lose their fucking minds.

It's an invasion! What did people expect would happen? I just hate the retoric - using all the words - atrocities, humanitarian, war crimes, blah blah blah, but are we really seeing any of that?

I did a bit of Google Fu and the perception that I have is that the Russians are holding back. They want the Ukraine and will take it, but when the dust settles they want to be able to say " see it wasn't that bad - we don't go in all Shock and Awe"
. Sure there is some of the 'usual' war stuff but what I am seeing is that any little incident caught on camera gets blown out of proportion and played over and over and over again to give the world the impression that things are way worse than they actually are. In fact many of the clips I have seen highlight people talking about how they feel terrified, and don't know what had happened to their loved ones, if they are ok, on the run, or dead. Blah blah blah talking about potential bad stuff that takes on a life of its own when in fact nothing had actually happened to them.
Wat is bad enough for the people involved, we really don't need the media embellishing it.

So I hear you're planning to move to Ukraine to show it's not so bad? Otherwise STFU.

Just reading the headlines sent to my email you would think that the nuke plant had gone pure Chernobyl

Lol that didn't take long. Such an insightful and measured response.

I can see what you are trying to say.
But you are expecting capitalism to not capitalize on current events.
Which is like thinking that you can say whatever you want in Russia without disappearing.

Should we not see that your government froze bank accounts of people protesting the government?
Fuck off, this isn't the convoy thread. Maybe I'll pop in there later today if I have time and we can play there some more.

So that video posted by 87manche - if it didn't say Ukraine, could be any other place in the world that is not under a terrifyingly atrocious human rights violating invasion. Traffic in the streets, people going about their business.

War sucks and I feel bad for the people involved. My beef is with the media trying to 'p it up'. Pre internet we had to rely on what we saw on the tv news. I am just saying that I am seeing a big disconnect between what the journalists are saying (horror and devastation) and actual videos coming out of the area ( war is hell but for the most part we are going on with our lives)

Still all sticky with the syrup eh?

I've said much the same, this isn't what we're told it is. I've said that numerous times

Peace is better than war, is it not?
You sure talk about cocks a lot. Makes me wonder.

See I called it - said Russia and Ukraine will agree on a "human escape route". So now they did. Watch and learn. Next, they will Aleppo Kiev.

And some of you are saying EU this and EU that. Just look at the chart of military spending. Everyone on Team West knows who has the guns. Order of magnitude more than anyone else. The USA could just say: "Stop now." But they are waiting for the rest of Russia's obsolete, broken shit to break even more and THEN the "saving of the Russian people" will begin.
So just because the US is stronger, the US should police the world?

The media has and will always embellish war.

Always, always. Which is why it must be questioned and scrutinized

Oh, so the communists aren't capitalizing on this event? China just hanging out and being all honest and enabling peace among the people of the world?

Socialists in Germany are saving everybody and bringing calm and security to the region?

Capitalists give the most view points and the most information from all sides

  • Belarusian forces will not take part in Ukraine war

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that his country’s troops are not currently taking part in the invasion, adding they will not participate in the offensive in the future either.

Instead, they'll just let Russian forces launch attacks from there? I'd say they're accountable either way.
