Riots tonight? NC edition

Here's what happens when you shoot 7 times and they don't die:

Try to open your simple little mind to this concept. A statue is like a miniature museum, except instead of having to pay a fee to enter a building, you can walk around outdoors and investigate things yourself where they actually occurred. You can read the historical markers and plaques, and stand in the same spot those people stood in, try to put yourself in their shoes. It generally helps normal people learn, by engaging their imagination, instead of standing in line and reading facts and dates. I can tell you from first hand experience, standing on the fields of Gettysburg, looking out to face what the men who fought that battle faced, on both sides, is a sobering experience. You can read about it in a book all you want, but until you stand where they stood you will never understand it, it’s just numbers and dates.

Of course, to super cool edgy liberal kids such as yourself, it doesn’t matter anyway. It’s all just numbers and dates to your kind. All that matters is feelings, so as long as you can hold the moral high ground all is well. History is brutally violent and written in blood. Always has been, and always will be. And there is nothing the feelings police can do to change that, though they won’t be stopped from trying. And if you folks want to ignore history, not acknowledge it’s existence because “slavery bad”, and doom us to repeat it, than so be it. But I’m warning you, the cost of that fight will be far higher than it was last time.

In conclusion, you’re a ****. Fuck off, and have a nice day following the rest of the sheep who think they are “free thinkers”

Right, so where is our statue of Mao at?

Woops. I don't know who Mao is because I haven't seen his statue. Silly me!

So why are they protesting there for something that happened in Philly?

So is the theme with these is either yuppie affluent white area and white people protesting, or areas primarily full of :mr-t::mr-t: just looting for a come up.

The marches seem to be directed by the local BLM chapter. But the disaffected and bored yutes of all colors are out and smashing after dark.

It will be interesting to see if the demographics change any tonight. The last riots were during the heavier lock down phase when any gatherings other than "protest" were heavily discouraged and pestered. So participating in the riots were the only way a yute could get out and hang in a crowd without getting in trouble. Kinda a societal self inflicted wound...

Let me try to explain this without the statue. You know the number one hundred thousand right? 100,000. It’s just a number. You’ve read it in books before, no big deal

Now watch a game at the Cotton Bowl (football stadium in Texas). Capacity is roughly 100,000 people. 100,000 people isn’t that impressive is it? Yeah it’s full, but so what?

Now walk your ass out onto that field and look around at the stands at that very same game. If you are indifferent to that feeling, there is something deeply wrong with you. You will now be capable of appreciating what 100,000 people truly is, after standing there first hand experiencing it.

The point I’m trying to make, is if you are insulated from things, either through pages in books or a television screen, you cannot truly understand the full scope of them. You can read and recite the facts, but they have no real impact on you. No real meaning. It’s not just you, that’s just human nature.

And yes, standing there overlooking battlefields 150 years after the battle isn’t the same as being there the day of, but it’s the same reason that the German death camps in Poland are still standing. Because seeing where the events occurred puts it into a whole different context than staring at a picture in a textbook.

Still a ****

So I am "insulated" from all true understanding of things I have not seen in person? Yeah okay...

Yea. The floyd riots were the result of the lockdowns 100% I agree on that, I saw that back in Illinois. Then some:mr-t: got shot in chicago by the cops and the "community" (:mr-t:)basically stole and looted everything as a come up in June. No young college kids out there for that night and no BS in the suburbs like floyd.

Then that just begs the question, why 14 shots instead of 1 clean shot to the head:stirthepot:

You have much experience? I am betting not one shot to the head is great when your a sniper up to a mile away up close it i=s center of mass till he quits moving. What is fucked up if you watch the video is when they try to render aid the fucking nighbors all run in and start to fight the cops where were thay when the mom was trying to keep her sone from commiting suicide by cop?
God I love you fucking internet warriors get out there on the streets, and show us, don't bang away on a keyboard and tell me what you will do Rambo

the complaints are just so petty these days "why didn't they shoot him 4 times? why 14?" apparently he only got hit 6 times so under 50% success rate

I am pretty sure I have said this before, most cops practice only enough to qualify, if you ever get the chance to look at some them you'll be amazed that they can even be used. Most people will actually obey, the others that don't used to be few and far between, now it seems to be a badge of honor to tell a cop to go get fucked

Yes. Exactly. You might have a good understanding of some historical event. Say the slaughter of the 7th Calvary at little big horn. But until you plant your own two feet where crazy horse stood before stepping off into battle, charging up that hill to engage Custer and his men, not knowing it would in fact be custer’s last stand, that he hadn’t brought any artillery with him, that his reinforcements were cowering on another hilltop 4 miles away, you are not capable of understanding his thinking. You will not understand why he made the choices that were made. You might have a good understanding, but your comprehension of the subject will never advance beyond good.

I’ll try to dumb it down again without using scary history for you. Have you ever met an expert on France, that’s never been to France? An expert on Pakistan who’s never visited? How about an expert on Argentina who’s never lived there? No? That’s because you wouldn’t call them experts without having any first hand experience with the subject they are talking about. You would say they know a lot about France, Pakistan, or Argentina. But you wouldn’t say they have a complete understanding of those places unless they have put themselves in those people’s shoes.

I’m done now. Have a nice life being a stupid ****. And I’m sure you’ll have some “witty” response for this to make yourself feel morally superior. I won’t respond to it, because I’ve got better things to do today than argue with liberal trolls on the internet. But just know this. Your feelings are stupid and have no place in the real world.

Sorry, I'm not a US history expert? Not sure what to say here...

Experts study with far more depth than what a museum or statue can provide. And I don't think any of us are aspiring to be experts in any kind of history (unless its your profession or main hobby)

little big horn is another fascinating thing as a side note about "military grade weapons". the army had the inferior weapon and the general population had superior arms :rasta: it wasn't THAT long ago when superior arms were in the hands of the population.

crazy to think about with 100 years of NFA normalization :rasta:

21' let's see you try and take someone down with a knife hand to hand. 21' with an edge weapon is within lethal range even if you have a gun.

They are the professionals not me. I couldn’t do it because I’m not trained to do exactly that.
