What's new

Red side has the Golden Ring.........now what?

How about a free market?
There were very few people who just couldn't get health insurance pre-ACA, most large employers wouldn't bar you based on pre-existing conditions. There used to be plenty of low-cost heath insurance plans out there, if you looked, even if you were buying your own, if you were willing to tolerate a higher co-pay. I think chappy is confusing low cost with subsidized plans. Without the subsidy, health insurance is MUCH more expensive than it was in '08.

Healthcare has historically been a sticky wicket for US politicians. Saying he should avoid it because it's a good way to get bogged down and get nothing else done
Privately, Trump has said that he, realistically, has 100 days to push through policy that requires legislation. One of the reason he's privately funding the transition team and has already hired people (some weeks ago, apparently). IF he gets through the rest of his agenda in the first 90 days, I'm all for blowing the ACA up in the last 10.
Realistically, he can always opt to cut the enforcement end of ACA without legislation if he wanted to, which would give us 3 years of relative freedom on the issue (a la the fed .gov's position towards states legalizing weed at the moment).

I bet that national debt might add another $8b.

And they have 2 years before midterms. It's about that time when everyone who voted for the other party realizes all the bullshit about change is just a pipe dream, and things are exactly the same. With it, comes the "midterm bloodbath", congressional gridlock, and we're right back where we started.

Same old song and dance: Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump (1), Biden, and now Trump (2). Nothing will change except the national debt, which will continue to grow.
No change from Obama to Trump or Trump to Biden huh?

Some people like borrow and spend candidates, some don't. I prefer fiscal responsibility rather than swiping America's credit card. On that premise, both choices were appaling. Hopefully Haley will run in 28 though!
And both parties seem to be good at spending and kicking the can down the road. The problem is eventually the can gets to big to kick or the road ends and we as a nation seem to be getting close to both.:mad3:

Trump praising Mike Johnson for doing a great job wasn't a great start.

Trump praising Mike Johnson for doing a great job wasn't a great start.
Trump is pretty good at buttering up people he needs to move shit forward. Johnson will still be speaker of the house and set the agenda. If he thinks he and Trump are buddy buddy, he will be more willing. I believe Speaker has many ways to look like they are moving things forward, but really slowing them to a stop.

What I’d like to see! A balanced budget amendment. You don’t spend money you don’t have. Period. It will never happen because both parties are in a spending high.

One thing that I think might bite trump in the ass is 25% tariffs on everything imported. Every banana you eat is imported for instance . That’s just gonna be passed on to you and me. Creating inflation.

Mike is the speaker right now, That means he controls the budget which last time got passed right before Trump took office and was a roadblock for the first half of Trump's 1st term. We need Johnson to keep things under control for the next 2 months, Rather have him buttered up for now, instead of helping the Dems make things a mess to step into.

TERM LIMITS for all.
ETA: Also, no cushy exit packages (retirement pay, health care coverage, etc.) when you leave office - you go out onto the private sector and fend for yourself.

Figure out a way to hold the MSM accountable for their absolute bullshit without infringing on their 1st amendment rights.

More than likely neither will ever happen but one can always dream.:shaking:

without infringing on their 1st amendment rights.

Use the same shit they try with the Second.

"When they wrote the First they had no idea that near instant and world wide communication would be possible, so it only applies to ink and paper delivered on horseback or by foot."

So either shall not and fuck off or internet/tv/radio doesn't count.

100% for term limits and politicians are on the same pay scale as the armed forces (equivalent rank for each branch pay averaged. Each office has it's rank assigned.). Once you're out you're out. Term limit is lifetime accumulated in office, not per office. You get the SS/retirement you put in. No pension for life. No security for life. You're a citizen again. Getting bought is punishable by death. You're not coming into office with $12 and leaving a millionaire.

AFT gets sent to a farm with the NFA/hughes/etc. shoved up it's ass.

National constitutional carry - fuck it. constitutional everything. It's as written, not as you think it should be.

No tax on SS

All judges are held accountable for stupidity. Let that guy with 14 DUIs walk, he gets drunk and kills someone, you get charged as an accomplice.

Reduce all involvement in the rest of the world. NATO/UN get to suck a dick. Either pay the babysitter or we walk.

Squatters rights are a federal offense. You don't own the property you don't have fucking rights beyond your lease/contract. After being told to GTFO them refusing can be treated as any other pest problem.

Property taxes are gone for owner occupied residential properties. Out of country connected corp owned pay 40% on single family properties.

Every bill is single issue. Want to lower taxes? It gets a vote. Want to send $400b so iran can study gay frogs? It gets a vote.

Hate crime bullshit goes away. Kill someone because they're black, red, white, crusades, aloha snackbar, shit in your sunroof? Doesn't matter. They're the same action regardless of why it was done.

Any project/funding without results in the proposed timeframe is fraud. Better pitch and plan accordingly. Got $100m a mile for a train? Been doing nothing for 10 years? Better hear a choo choo before 2025.

As to abortion:

If she can choose to abort without him, he can choose to not support without her. Both were there for the minute and a half making it, so both get a choice in the next 18+ years.

The people who say it should only be for rape and shit are blind... You either support it or you don't. Conditionals just mean false charges for innocent men unless penalties are high enough AND ENFORCED. Minimum charges equal to, or greater than, attempted pre-meditated murder for false reports as she's trying to end his life.

If her killing it isn't murder why is killing her, and it, two counts?

I think this term is going to be drastically different than his first. He has no re-election to worry about, and knows whoever follows him has to hold their own. With that congress will most likely follow suit for their own preservation.

Musk with DOGE is going to make a ton of changes. Let’s just hope American manufacturing and production picks up before the cuts come.

I’m just hoping federal income tax disappears and American jobs come back.

Ending all Federal involvement in mutating children :smokin:

Good. I don't give a fuck what adults choose to do. You wanna cut your dick off as an adult? I mean, I'd strongly suggest rethinking that but at the end of the day, if that's what you think you really wanna do have a blast and best of luck. But if our government doesn't trust you to he mature enough to vote, to buy a gun, to smoke a cigarette or drink a beer... how in the fuck can they argue that you're mature enough to cut your dick off or take puberty blockers forever fucking up your maturation into a physical adult? Absolute clown world shit.

My first day in office would consist of this, cut off ALL foreign aid. Every last fucking red cent. Second would be to finish the border wall. Third would be to find a bus big enough to put all 20 million illegals on and get them the fuck out of our country. Fourth would be to eliminate 80% of the federal government. By signing those 4 bills I would have already saved the taxpayers trillions of dollars before lunch time. :usa:

Eh, it's a pretty easy fix, at least the insurance side. Allow interstate health insurance then get the Feds out of the fucking way. Then allow ERs to turn away patients.

The second one sounds bad on paper, but go sit in the ER in any city at night and watch how many people come in who are clearly full of shit just trying to score opiates. Between that and people with a cold treating the ER like it's a health clinic the unpaid costs hospitals have to cover elsewhere (your insurance) are insane and one of the biggest reasons healthcare costs are so ballooned past reality.

While I agree with all of this 1000%.......

...... executive orders. :shaking:

Get the fuck out of here with the executive orders. Have we not learned anything from that shit?
Obviously not a long term solution, but that's better than doing nothing til Congress passes laws.

Using EO to bypass Congress is the problem, using them to instruct Federal agencies on how to operate within existing law is what they're supposed to be used for.
