What's new

Random stuff you made.

Got tired of my workbench being too low/un-level/moving around.

How wobbly is it? I bought some 8” scaffolding castors a while back for my bench, but they’re still in the box because am still trying to figure out the best idea for mobility and a rock solid level bench.

Seems solid AF. See linked thread.

Installed a breaker panel U/G today, hand cut plasma gussets from 1/4 inch alu to hold up the 500 lbs transformer.

Potato pic so you probably can't read the writing, but it says "lightning panel" because we usually call them "lighting panels"

Doesn't look like much, but I like installing the transformer/panel this way since you get to wire them through a nice fat straight nipple, instead of fighting to get cables through comically big LBs and PVC conduit.

It seems like it's one clumsy dude shouldering a bunch of sticks of unistrut away from being a problem.
"Did you hear about Matt? He's gonna be off for a while. He was walking passed the new cabinet not paying attention and walked right into one of the spark brackets. Tore his fucking delt off. The whole side of his shoulder was just laying on the floor. They bagged it up and sent it to the hospital with him. Crazy."

:flipoff2:

ten fortunes in unistrut alone
Par for the course in a mine. There are two things I have learned about mine electricians, there is no such thing as too much unistrut (in fairness 99% of the time operations didn't know what they wanted so you have to future proof) and they are the masters putting things in the worst spot possible that will still work.

Frangible varmint rounds?
I need details :smokin:
Took out 3 pest birds today wit my .177 pistol.
2" screen and all

tore what. off like a giant piece of muscle..... omg

We had a lot of threads to buff and didn't want to play around with the 4" wire wheel.

I used the ⅝ arbor centers and ⅝ bolt to position the cup on the 8" wheel ment for a bench grinder and welded it up. It doesn't vibrate and hasn't wore funny yet.

were you able to push the conduit all the way down the frame too? thats a cool trick for sure.
Yeah, I could go past the halfway mark from both ends. It did get bound up a couple times, but I just let the drill go so it unwound.

I forgot to mention I did crimp a sleeve onto the end the drill attaches to. The first attempt ended up unwinding the cable even though I was running it in reverse to preserve the twist.

That ⅜ pe tubing is hooked to the .177 barrel, the small copper tubing is hooked to the air in on the "chamber". You put bbs in the chamber you pressurize it by pushing it air blaster air then blows out the barrel and takes bbs with it.
how does it work?
sounds like a heavy grit sand blaster:laughing:
