My current non running, non driving, no axle having money hole. Mid 60s cj5 that's been stretched 26 inches, with a new frame, highline hood and fenders, 6.0 ls2 6L80E 14 bolt rear and 10 bolt front. 3 link/4 link full ground up build.

Thanks man! No build thread anywhere but I have been considering starting one on here. It’s almost done and ready for a shakedown run now but I have been trying to take pictures as I build it since the beginning of the build.

Here's my weekend warrior, family hauler shitbox: 2004 WJ, factory Mercedes diesel, neutered Quadra Drive (NP231 and ARB front and rear), no lift, longest shocks I could fit and 32's.

It still has to haul the family on vacation, so street tires also go on :D

First Post, pumped to be here! Learned a ton on the old forum (RIP) Acquired a set of tons, working at sliding them under the rig here at the end of July.

'81 j20. Not much left that was from jeep though. 60/14 bolt, 5.3/4l60e/np241, 3 link front. Finished the 3 link in early 2019 and its completely changed this rig for the better. No more unpredictable leaf spring unloading, just keeps climbing.

It's sitting on a 1/2 ton Chevy frame with Chevy axles.

Has a wood rat nest for the power plant.

To update this. The jeep got a JK30 with a heavy shave and some 37" Reds. Moved over to air shocks. Swapped in a 5 speed. Added a 231/231. I also built a second set of axles and set up some 8" coilover to take it drifting.

nicely done. more cage than I expected back there. makes sense when you cut a huge hole in the floor. like the tank coffin too. never liked the idea of the tank in the cab but that works. how much did you the stretch the rear? sorry for all the dumb questions, just trying to take my rig in this direction.

Thanks! I love my shitbox, it takes me wherever I want to go and doesn’t look too bad doing it (unless that’s up a steep grade when it’s hot out).

Thanks! Lots of cage so myself and 3 other people can roll and not die 🤞. I had a factory metal skid on the tank so I just cut a hole and moved the tank up until it was flush with the bottom of the unibody. I didnt want to lose all my storage with the tank inside so left it as low as possible, first fuel tank was smashed dropping off some rocks, didnt want that to happen again plus the stretch meant it had to move. I ran the filler out the passenger side and I dont get any fumes in the cab, only thing I dont like about it is hearing the fuel pump.

Stretch is 10" total, moved the leaf spring hangers back 4" and inboard under the "frame" channels, then also flipped the springs for the other 6" of stretch.
