What's new

Post up rare, custom, or just plain weird trucks!

Saw a cyber truck thing on the freeway. It looks weirder in person than in pictures/videos

That’s the first I’ve seen with a roof rack.

If I'm not mistaken, Musk started his company with an electric "chassis" with a Lotus body. His subsequent offerings have the styling of what any other car manufacturer would offer, to a certain degree. For lack of a better term, they look like "normal" automobile in the 2020's.

I'm really starting to think the cyber truck is Musk's biggest troll on the "woke" electric vehicle buying Americans.

At some point, I feel like he's going to hold a press conference and release a 4 door/short bed dual motor soccer mom pickup that looks very F150/Ram/Silverado 1/2 ton and simply say, "I can't believe you idiots actually bought that stupid looking thing!".

At least that would be a redemption of sorts:lmao:

Any light truck or suv built between 1960 and 1985 looks best with slots, turbines, or steel ralleys. I’m 44.
:flipoff2:

My kid’s in high school and he has a set of turbines.

I had two Scouts, but couldn’t afford turbines at the time. Both had white spokes painted to match the Scout. About 10 years ago I found a set of turbines on craigs. I got them in the attic for some future build. They came off a yellow Scout.

It's all about the 17" Alcoas.

I have 16" Alcoas on my '88 OBS.

I have 15 x 14s on my Bronco.

This picture is 20 years old. I still have the truck. I wish it still looked like this.

I like it. No use for electric, but stainless and flat panels are both on my wish list.

Huge swoopy stampings don't belong on a utility vehicle.

Also, props to him for making it flat, blocky, and sort of slippery. Two difficult goals to merge.

The bullet proof part don’t hurt. (At least for 9mm)

for a while the cousinfucking chevy pickemup "community" decided that it was suitable to just keep tacking Ns onto "nbs"

this was several body styles ago though I'll never forget
GMT400 and 800 or whatever else is just as dumb. I like my pre 1980 Chevys because i got them free or cheap and they were easier to work on and swap parts in than Fords or Dodges of the same eras. And if you don't realize or appreciate that you're fucking dumb.:flipoff2:

Since this thread is making its slow spiral down the drain, (and I mean no disrespect towards Mr. WaterH), any chance we get a more recent pic of this Bronco?

Back when I was 16, there was a dude running around our town in an O.J. style all white version of this same truck, but he always had the top off.

I thought it was the coolest truck on the planet back then.

If you look close, there is a little stick that sticks up in front of the windshield so the driver knows which way the wheels are pointing. The steering is hydraulic, so no mechanical connection.

Did those ever make prime time? These days anything with pure hydraulic steering isn't allowed to go faster than about 30km/h.

Not really. Seemed to be an experiment that they hoped would take off, but didn't. These were built "down under", but apparently they didn't like the hydraulic steering either.

Landliner info starts about halfway down the page:
