Yeah, I have a few of them and M725s in my yard. They are definitely manly looking rigs.
That needs to go in the fail thread. That camper shell and that truck do nothing to compliment one another and that thing is straight up fugly. Camper shell would have looked so much more appropriate with a 60's style diamond pattern outer layer with some kind of retro looking windows and paint on it. They ruined a perfectly nice truck building that thing.

I know all about those expidition type campers. One of my very rich customers back in RI used to bring me his top of the line crew cab F550 Earth Roamer to service every couple of months. That truck and camper used to make my pants fit tighter every time he drove it into my shop. It was fully loaded with every conceivable option they offered at the time including adjustable height suspension, 46" XML's on aluminum 20" military double bead locks, massive King shocks and a fucking crane to let the spare tire down from its molded in perch at the rear. I freakin loved that thing! He paid high six figures for it new.

The shell looks basic as hell to construct, aluminum angle and that fancy composite skinned foam board.

Looks like UHaul truck body construction now that you mention it...
The Earth Roamers claim to fame is its one piece molded fiberglass shell. It has no seams so it can't ever leak unless you punch a hole in it. Still not worth high 6 figures in my opinion but it's leaps and bounds better than a low 6 figure U-Haul box.
