Why is that TJ rare, custom or weird?

That guy posts that thing in any group he can.
not a fan of the big retro rims but that truck is sexy AF
Agreed. The truck was posted by the wheel manufacturer, though.not a fan of the big retro rims but that truck is sexy AF
Interested in what the specs are for that. 6-lug no lockout crew cab short bed. Quite the Yuppie mobile.
That's where it should be left. C60/70 ride like a brick and even with a turntup 427 tall deck they are slow as shit. That's a generic truck with some visual churching up and a 5th wheel plate bolted in.Great yard mule
Half ton 203 having turd. Bet it's got a vatozone tree fiddy crate motor with a bowtie dress up kit on it.Interested in what the specs are for that. 6-lug no lockout crew cab short bed. Quite the Yuppie mobile.
Or short boxes. If you're going to have a big truck, have the whole thing.not a fan of the big retro rims but that truck is sexy AF

Yea but, cheap and easy to do it right. All the shitty work is done already (body, interior, possible short bed conversion)Half ton 203 having turd. Bet it's got a vatozone tree fiddy crate motor with a bowtie dress up kit on it.
Looks nice but that's a lot of nope too

Correct. No CCSB, no 1/2 ton (6 lug) crew cabs.I don't think they made a cc swb in those squares. Sure looks sweet.
They would probably want 40 or 50k as is. If you gonna spend that might as well spend another 12-15k on a motor with some goodies and a real fawking trans. That thing will weight enough to eat a 4l60 pretty quick with a decent ls.Yea but, cheap and easy to do it right. All the shitty work is done already (body, interior, possible short bed conversion)
Under 5 grand you could LS/4L60 2wd with a Ford divorced 205, whatever decent driver drop axle you have laying around.
That's an easy fixer project.
Agreed, but I think you'd be surprised how light that truck is/would be compared to modern shit. They would probably want 40 or 50k as is. Sounds like the woodsplitter that my brother and I are building, some parts from a splitter he got at an auction with a bent beam, an axle that has been under at least 2 other trailers (GM 6.5" out of something like a 1970s vintage Vega), a cylinder off of my shelf, etc.Agreed, but I think you'd be surprised how light that truck is/would be compared to modern shit.
Also, all my ideas come from my junkyard fifteen hunnid dolla brain, and while I can imagine chrome turbo 8.1/Allison etc etc, my 1st thought is "I got an hp44 laying behind the shop with enough stuff to make it 8 lug... Matt still has that totalled '01 reg. cab with the solid engine and 2wd trans, I wonder if Heath can still get those .gov 14 bolts cheap... I'll have to dig but I know that 205 is somewhere in dad's barn..."
Ah well newest thing I own is a 2006. I have mostly owned junk through the years. I had a regular cab 78' regular cab with 350,465, 205, tons and 38.5 and it was ~5400 on the scales if I remember right (its been a decade or so since then). I would throw a guess that it weighs about 6000 lbs maybe a little more.Agreed, but I think you'd be surprised how light that truck is/would be compared to modern shit.

Junk pile, or pile of junk?
A junk pile is a bank of things that will be useful, but not today. A pile of junk is what you call it the day you decide you no longer want to build things and are loading it for scrap value.Junk pile, or pile of junk?
The line is very blurry sometimes.

It’s tense specific.
