Panzers: I break rocks thread

Hey I got this widget that I needed cut out....

for the water tank, maybe one of them 260 gallon heating oil tanks on its side underneath the table
put a diptube in it to the bottom and pressurize it with a couple psi of air to shuttle the water into the table
couple water heater anodes in the bungs to keep the rust down for a while
That was kinda the idea. Got a few old oil tanks laying around I’ll have to see if one will fit.

Panz,

If this happens, just tell them you’re too busy working on your jet boat

… you are working on your jet boat right ? :flipoff2:
lol no not at this time. Hopefully I can get serious about it this winter. Last winter I was building the basement gym. However i also want to add a tower to the new boat and get it looking good for next summer, slam the 89 suburban, possibly build a set of end game main speakers for the theater, install a standalone ac system for the theater, and finish up the smart car on tracks version 2.0 this winter :homer:

One of my new toys showed up tonight.:smokin:

Everyone is getting warned first one who smashes a door gets put back into the old excavators :lmao:

Pretty fancy:grinpimp:

FWIW.........We had issues with guys refilling dirty DEF jugs. Seems like over filling the DEF caused PC meltdowns as well. Keep shit clean an dont top it off:laughing:
Yeah overfilling is an issue on my case loaders. Guys know only to fill it to 3/4. Bought a pallet of def in jugs so they are not refilling old jugs.

Whats that machine weigh, 85k?

man it would be hard to get past letting people turn your nice stuff into not so nice stuff.

I have trouble letting my kids mess with mine

Panz can you delete those units without much trouble? or will Cat not work on them if you delete like Carter said?

Maybe that can easily be disabled?

should be funny getting back in a 345B or whatnot after youve gotten adjusted to it. :lmao:

Anyone ever use a toolcat? Thinking about getting a used one for around the pit. Would like to make a tool box with a ssqa plate on it to move it around where we need it. Also would like to make a 200gallon fuel tank with a ssqa plate on it for the same reason. It would also be used for the occasional sweeping of the road and light plowing around the buildings.

sounds like you need another forklift, one with bigger tires and a bench seat

Yup, had one at the nuke plant. It did many things okay. Don’t you have something like a cat 420 you could make those attachments for and also have a bigger broom?

How many hours on the 349?

You'd put the ssqa plate on those things?

The toolcats have a front "loader" boom don't they?

I'm probably confused, but why wouldn't you just put fork pockets on those things and forks on the toolcat?

Yeah they have a boom on them. There are many step drives around here to access pumps and what not. Shit on forks tend to fall off if you’re not paying attention. With the quick attach you hook it up and it’s not going anywhere.

First plan was to get another kubota utv and put a service body and fuel tank on it. But then you lose all the bed capacity. A tool cat you could grab what you need and then still have an empty box for carrying shit around.

Toolcat thought was it would be faster than a skid steer or mini loader. Skid steer you have trouble getting in and out with a big attachment on. Just mulling over my options to improve the quality of life around here. A moble toolbox with a vise on it would be handy. My service truck are usually always gone at another job or trying to be not in sight because of msha bullshit. Ford parking brakes are absolutely stupid. They hardly work brand new.

any aftermarket pinion brake setups you can globulate on there, or "e-brake pedal cabled around to yank service brake pedal"

lol not off-roady enough. Needs to be able to traverse steep hills and drive on clean sand.
plenty of them are more or less "backwards farm tractor" but even that would be a stupid pig because counterweight

I bought some actual line lock parking brake kits I’m gonna install in the trucks. They are made by mico
so get on that shit
service truck with all the tools much handier than halfass golf cart service truck that doesn't have all the tools with
