I picked one up too. What tripod did you get? I don't want to break the bank on legs, but don't want a POS either.

Buy a used quality tripod off FBMP or Craigslist. You can get a used but decent manfrotto or similar for the same price as a chinese crap model. Crap tripods suck.

Plus you can grab a bog pod head for it and use it to shoot.
 
This has worked well for DSLRs. It's an "entry level" tripod but it's good for 4.5# and while not a true fluid head, it's pretty smooth. I would expect it to be pretty decent for a spotting scope.

I always forget about those guys, and I've bought from them before. They're showing ,07 and free shipping if you buy 5k. Honestly I've probably got enough 22lr to last the rest of my life.
 
With all their cases of ammo being free shipping, They are normally one of the cheaper places. I have bought a pile of ammo from them
